Where's Garret at he likes stats? I'd like to know how many times this season the Jets have marched to the penalty box within 30 seconds of scoring, and you could further separate that into times when that goal leads to a Jets lead. Feels like it's happening often.

True story: in grade 10, we had an intramural floor hockey league going on, and in a moment of profound idiocy, the teachers decided that players from other teams should be required to supply players to be refs. Yes. Let's let 14 and 15 year olds be refs on games with other teams in their league. What could possibly go wrong?
Well, when the time came that I was called on to ref between two of the teams that had actual hockey players on it, I had called like 6 penalties in the first two minutes. The teacher took me aside, gave me a talking to, and suggested I should go a bit easier.
At this point, I couldn't have put the whistle deeper away without the aid of a proctologist. And after another two minutes of guys now just hauling and pitchforking each other to the floor, while I was literally doing my best Colonel Klink "I know nothing!" shrug, they finally relieved me of my duties.
And after 10 minutes or so, I was back where I wanted to be in the first place -- outside playing football with my buddies over lunch hour.
Anyways. POINT IS, I still did a better job reffing than these fools have done so far.

I disagree it IS stupid!
These refs get to the AHL with as little as 2 years experience, why so little you ask? Because they can skate straight outta junior and are pushed through in a rush order. 4 years experience and bang you are in the bigs.
