3 teams ahead of us right now (ducks, kings, stars) we have 2 games in hand on the ducks 1 on the kings and even with the stars. ducks will most likely sell at the deadline and stars are going to move klingberg as well, it will be hard but to be honest this is far from over5 points out of the 2nd wc spot.
4 teams ahead of them
It will be tough
They have lost too many games they should have won but then again in theory the Wild should not have lost 2 games to the Jets.
I'd rather get on a big roll and make the playoffs ala the LA Kings a few years ago.Have been worried Copp was gonna get hurt and we’d lose out on our best rental. Hopefully he’s okay. Refs were lucky this game didn’t get out of hand — just a refusal to call penalties. Really wanted to win this game against the dirty Wild, mission accomplished, now back to losing please (except for the Montreal game).
Me too. But expect the worst and you’ll never be disappointed.I'd rather get on a big roll and make the playoffs ala the LA Kings a few years ago.

I don’t even know where the Scheifele Wheeler haters pick up their hate threads after they have a combined 17 points over the last 3 games.

yeah, they have deserved their fair share of criticism this season, but this forum was way over the top, they got blamed for pretty much every single thing that went wrong with the jetsA season isn't 3 games. Some people have objectivity. If you want to give him a pass for his many games of pathetic effort fine but don't criticize others for calling it as it is.
Hats off to Wheeler who was a setup machine tonite. Another shutout on the PK. We are now only -1 in special teams goal differential. Big improvement since Dave too over. Big Stan with >19mins in his comeback game.
I would imagine the Scheifele/Wheeler critics (you say “haters,” I say “critics”) would be quite far from in shambles; rather, the opposite — they’re likely pleased because those two are performing much better than they have been all year and instead of failing to meet expectations like the first 40 or so games of the season, they’re now greatly exceeding them.Scheifele/Wheeler haters in absolute shambles after the point run those two are on lately.
Good game.
Disappointed that there was no retribution for the Greenway play on Copp. The Jets had basically won at that point, wouldn't have minded a few penalties in exchanging of blowing up a couple of wild players to the sun. Should've dressed a goon instead of Poganski.
Good game, feels nice for once getting to watch a third period knowing that the Jets have already sealed it and seeing who else can pad their stats
That being said, Adam Lowry should really never play more than Dubois and I'm starting to wonder if Dave can really objectively evaluate his son's game. Too many times I saw our third line get double shifted in lieu of the second line and I get the whole matchup thing but the talent disparity between the two lines is wayyy too large to rationalize that sort of decision making (like why was Lowry out there with Connor and Dubois with thirty seconds left when we're up by three?).

I was a bit upset we didn’t retaliate after the Greenway shit too. And I’m a bit surprised this game didn’t breakdown as much. I figured we’d see more shenanigans carry over from last game, plus the refs refused to call anything and the Jets pretty much had the game won by the time Perfetti scored. So while I’m disappointed no one stood up for Copp, it’s still sometimes nice to avoid some of that junk and the injuries/suspensions that can come from that kinda stuff. We got the last laugh with the clean win anyway.
I’m surprised the officials didn’t call anything on Greenway though. I’d like to think the DoPS will step in here, but I won’t hold my breath.
