I don’t know if Bednar’s message has gone stale, we just don’t have the mix of guys that truly want to win it all, or if the team truly just sucks…but this stretch of games has been truly awful. The saving grace is Blackwood, and really I just feel bad for the guy

Bednar really needs to go. I don't know how anyone can defend his actions right now. PP in complete shambles and do nothing to address it, not holding regular practices, despite being 5-5 the last 10 with a light schedule, over playing the All Stars wearing them down. .

His unique system, is no longer unique. The book is out and everyone knows what they need to do to slow it down now. The only way it works is with speedsters, that we no longer have.

The fact that he’s not made any adjustments at all, no accounting for the current staff available to him, it’s all bananas. It feels like everyone has quit. Players don’t care. Coaches don’t care. Hell, they don’t even try to correct it at practice, in fact they’ve stopped practicing at all. Apathy

It doesn't matter if his message got stale or not. He's not doing anything different with the players he actually has. He refuses to adjust his system to match the strength of the players he does have. Instead he tells them to work harder to be the team he'd rather have.

Lucky bounce that was really helped with piss poor defending. The Avs just love leaving opposing players free close to our net

That’s my same gripe. I’m not sure he or his staff know how to adjust. It’s one of the major reasons we lost the Vegas series, definitely huge component as to why we can’t beat Dallas in the playoffs

Draisaitl after getting his game has worked hard on his game, proving that he can play defense while still being that dominant defensive force. Rantanen trying to demand a similar deal has committed even harder to floating and eliminating himself from the play 95% of the time

Bednar has, and always has had, some players who can play the body. His refusal to allow them to do so, in fact his outright coaching them out of physical contact makes us a real easy team to play against, especially if you clog up the neutral zone.
