I'd kindly settle for a tall glass of milk.
He also isn't messing with the lines. Just like Nov-Dec when he was filling in. Same guys, same roles, everyone executing consistently. Not perfect, but lots of confidence and composure.

It's still way too early, but is Scott Arniel a bit of an offensive savant? Including that stretch from last year (14 games from 2023-10-24 through 2023-11-22), combined with this season, the Jets have scored 4.36 goals per game over the span of 25 games.

For reference, last year's Avs registered 304 goals at a 3.71 goals per game clip.

I'm pretty sure he filled in for Bowness near the end of last year, but that lineup likely included Monahan and Toffoli, whereas our current lineup is pretty much the same one that we had at the beginning of last year.

I think he's clearly more offensive minded then Bones but I think we have some unsustainably high shooting percentages going on as well.

I don't think Arniel is a savant. But is he quite likely a stronger tactical coach than Bowness. I think the transition happened at the right time for our team. And probably the right spot in Arniel's career arc to take over a team like ours.

Bones taught the fundamentals and got the culture right. Now that the culture piece is in place, we can be more aggressive and creative systematically because we know the right switches will happen.

That's how I see it as well.

Absolutely. Slice that in half for some.
We are definitely this year's Canucks who will soon be written off as lucky. Gonna need to keep it going because the crash is coming at some point. Hopefully we can keep winning when the scoring luck dries up and teams make some adjustments to our PP.

We are shooting over 15% on the year as a team so far. The top team last year was just under 12 for the entire year. We are definitely in for some regression at some point. But unlike the other red hot team in Vegas we've banked almost all the points we could.

I think what you're saying is true. Bowness had to come in and be like Will Kane (Gary Cooper) in High Noon, sort of a thankless job of cleaning things up. I wasn't so thankful by game 4 of last year's playoffs mind you, but overall, I appreciate what he had done in his two years at the helm.
