4/5 Skeletons tonight, Pionk played better so did Slammy 2 goals a bonus from Pionk, KFC is a superstar, Vilardi might go on a run, Helle a little twitchy with the rebounds, Nik some good some bad, Tree had a tough game. Overall this game was one sided the pp saved the Wings from being skunked. Best tonic after a loss is a pretty resounding win.

It shouldn't bother me that PGTs are quieter after wins than losses, but here we are

We scored 5v5
Top line won their matchup
Special teams were OK
Pionk played well

I guess there's just not much to bitch about, so people who don't know how to do anything else steer clear

It is what it is

I think when people notice some kind of issue they'd like to address, they are much more likely to contribute their piece. People are less likely to express themselves just to say "good job" or whatever; it feels unnecessary. For example, your post here is a criticism of others on this board. Why did you feel the need to post it, instead of just saying positive things and moving on? You have your answer.

And for those who bash the Connor Schiefele duo. Playing all the time with the teams #1 center will be front and center in any contract negotiations with Connor. IMO at least he is the guy we can't lose because how much of a premium is placed on actually putting the puck in the net.

You're right

Next time that people are nitpicking stupid shit that doesn't matter, I'll chime in with a "good job, fellas"

On the other hand, some people like to both point out positives AND negatives. Crazy, eh?

I think interest in posting just ebbs and flows for some people, me included. Life gets busy sometimes or we get new interests or whatever.

Regardless, Jets looked good tonight. It looks like we're witnessing a new level of play for KFC which is amazing to see. He looks like he's driving that top line and could hit 45-50 goals this year.

The thread after the loss to the Leafs hit 188 posts with a day between games

I guess we'll see what this one gets with the same interval

My internet went down so I missed the entire third period and then my laptop crashed as I was working on the Prediction Contest. Must be gremlins...

I'm back up and running thanks for my cell phone. Good first period, badly reffed second period, can't comment on third, but three goals by the Jets sounds pretty good to me. I give the game four "Home Improvements" out of five...

The Prediction Contest has been posted for the game against the Columbus Straight Jackets, so get your guesses in. The GDT for that game will be made by yours truly...

See you guys on Friday...

Ya, there interest ebbs during the wins but somehow flows for the losses. What a coincidence

How would that be seen as a positive for people who don't like the Connor-Scheifele pairing? That sounds like it would just result in more Connor-Scheifele, but at a higher price point?

I think it's pretty obvious these two like to play together - but it will go without saying that Kyle will play with the top C regardless of who that might be down the road. No shot against Mark but I hope he is around long enough to play with our next #1 C who ever that might be.
I honestly don't see KC's game falling off that much deep into his next contract - I know it's a waste or time making that kind or prediction but I see him as a player that will always be highly skilled and a good skater.

Wow. Some bad goaltending from the red wings but jets put on a clinic at 5v5 in this game. Only 21 shots for the wings jets were on them like a fat kid on cake.
