I don’t know if the Jets can re-sign everyone, but Connor, Ehlers, Vilardi, Perfetti is an incredible, diverse set of top six wingers.

I will add another point on giving Helly extra rest this season. He will likely be the starter for the US in the 4 Nations Cup. That will add to his regular season workload. 55 games should be Arniel’s goal IMO.

This is where the prospects come in, the Jets will see who they can afford and sign and fill the rest of the roster with a prospect or two.

Goddamn, they took CBJ out behind the woodshed on this one. Everyone was really good. No real complaints here. Even Pionk had some really good plays. That defense on that 2 on 1 was just *chef kiss*. KFC, man. Those f***ing hands. What the flying hell was that? f***ing wizard. And Ehlers with the hatty? Man. What a game. Good showing. I have nothing but praise for them. CBJ just isn't that good.

RIP Johnny Hockey.

Agreed but at least the Jets are beating these teams. Oilers got smoked by Columbus,Det has also won a few games

Quick reminder that Eric Comrie is now 3-0. Helle can sit on the bench with a margarita, we're not even worried.

He was good. Neither goal was on him. Any breaks and he gets a SO.

But I'm still nervous with every shot against.
If he keeps up playing like this I will begin to relax.

A lot of good things happened that game: Ehler's hat trick; scored 6 goals again (league leading 5th time we've done that); Com-dawg ups his record to 3-0 vs CBJ (meaningless, but fun stat); Connor extends his point streak to 11 games (a new personal best); pretty much everybody played a good game; and some fine posting from contributers.

If that game was a worm, it would be a Red Wigglers - The Cadillac of Worms

Agreed. I think Arniel is doing a good job on his backup goalie game selection. We really do need to get Helly down closer to 55 games to have him fresh for the playoffs.

I didn't think it should have been necessary. But what the hey, Comrie was very good. Getting him in keeps him sharp as well as resting Helle.

You can only play the schedule in front of you. Once the schedule gets tougher they are very unlikely to keep up a .909 winning percentage, but they are playing well and nothing suggests the will roll over against better teams.

We're gonna lose games. We'll lose some vs good teams and we'll lose some vs bad teams

The schedule will get shitty. Guys will get injured and run down. We'll get goalied

Just finished, holy f*** what a game. Great 5 on 5 play. More of that please! CBJ on paper isn't great but they've been playing well this season prior to this game. Good Pionk is so much fun to watch.That Connor assist was chef's kiss. Offer Ehlers a matching deal to 55/37 to get it done please!

I see absolutely nothing to complain about tonight

The only complaint I have is the horrible camera angle in that arena. You are so far away from the action. I have seen CBJ games when Laine used to play there and it was never like this.

and all 6 D had a great night. Miller made a few plays that we're pretty sharp that I didn't expect.

How many 50 goal scorers? Right now it looks like Connor and Ehlers. 100 point players? Connor, Ehlers and maybe Scheifele, though obviously we can't keep this up. heck 5 point a game or better players with 5 more breathing down it's neck.
