Just to wrap this up if he did this to any of the cherished teams or one of the chosen superstars he would of been done for a while especially being that he is a repeat offender. But he did it to a player whose team and fanbase should just be happy to be in the league.

When BS happens to our star players like Scheifele, Lowry or Schenn or Stanley, should go up to them and punch them in the face 2 or 3 times - like Dave Schultz used to do for Clarke of the Flyers, and Semenko did for Gretzky, and Clarke Gillies did for Goring, and their smaller players.

We cannot afford to be intimidated like this, and we have tougher guys like Lowry, that can get mean if they have too - and “he does” have too.

No, the Jets are not going to play to match the Blues in dirty play. Lowry, Tanev, Stanley and Schenn can all settle a score, Miller too if Schenn gets pulled. Blues should worry more about Ehlers drawing in.

Excellent all round game. Hopefully Scheif is okay. Blues looked sluggish and sloppy from start to finish.

I’m not sure what to think about Helle. 3 goals on 19 shots, and that Snuggerud goal was truly awful. He did make a couple of really good stops. Still very nervous about what we’ll see from him in Game 6.

One good thing, he is overdue for a good game.

Not the prettiest game I'm ever watched but is likely what it will take to get out of this series.
The Blues know the only way to beat the Jets is to run their big guns - and they are doing exactly that - and they get away with it.
There's no room for pretty plays and the guys are looking over their shoulders for dirty hits and interference - not Jets hockey but it is what it is.
Game six will likely be an ugly affair - the guys will need to be prepared to take it and dish it out - can't wait for this series to end.

Hats off to guys like Perfetti and Vladdy who despite their size, they are hanging in - luckily they are not targets like JoMo and Scheif.
Helle played better - maybe good enough to get his mojo back. Lardo looked great considering - should be even better next game
Hope 55 is OK for Friday - he's getting mauled out there and the refs are watching with broken whistles - the league should step in and gives these guys some direction.

Appleton has to be the clumsiest superhero I have ever seen. He has two assists on empty net goals. He got one assist by getting sticked in the face, and then in a moment of confusion kicking the puck out for a beauty. He got his other by putting a pass behind Connor that forced a pass into a goal. If he were fictional he might be a Monty Python character. I generally cringe when he plays the puck, I'm not sure how he does it, but glad he's on our side.

I thought his pass to Connor was actually deflected by the defender.
To me it looks like he is throwing it 45 degrees to his left.
More of a pass to space.
But the deflection forces the puck backwards to Connor which leads to the goal.
If the puck went where he seemed to be trying to put it I don't think we score.

scheif was targeted and he needed to keep his head up... i believe he was concussed in that faksa hit because he took forever to clear the zone from offside - we were yelling wtf scheif

That said the schenn hit should have been 5 min - clear headhunting... and esp when the refs are calling chintzy shit against stan

That being said stan wouldnt have been called if he didnt start shit at the bench way after things were done...

Bottom six is the star of this series... apples plays a really solid game but he has ray neufeld hands so looks worse on tv

I would give tanev credit for the jets not collapsing... it was his 'animal' hitting and forecheck that sparked the crowd and the team

we actually got a lot better with names defensive awareness and hitting on line 1... im not sure we win that game with csv in tact...

Vilardi very very gritty player... i feel like perfetti will end up more like him than scheif..that being said perfetti should get a real shot at C

Samberg still so solid even with his bad pivots... jomo clearly injured and still getting smashed by forecheckers... this is one thing the jets should do is hit the blues D at every chance

Helle - still so scary but maybe that lucky paddle save gets his head together

No idea what direction the league has given - but it doesn't seem to be the kind of direction that will help clean up the dirty garbage in this series. I think the coach would agree based on his recent post game.
And who said anything about the refs hating Wpg? Just call the stuff that not being called now - I think everyone gets that this is PO hockey but you don't throw the whistles away. Lot of late / high hits, elbows, cross checks, and head hunting.

In PO hockey, there is more of that with the ramped up games - and some of it won't get called
But they need to keep the game from getting away to the point where that type of play is being ignored all night.
Not watching that series so no idea how it is being called (other than the hit you just called out).
Anyway, I'd rather watch good hockey over goon squad garbage - maybe I'm in the minority.
