I don't think they have zero chance without Mark.

I posted about the Jets having 'their moment' after game 4, a transformational event that flips a switch in the team psyche. I mentioned that you can't really manufacture it, it has to be organic.

Maybe the Jets moment was that hit and the Scheifele injury. Something for the team to rally behind.
Anything is possible of course, but literally I wouldn’t take a bet on it even if you gave me 20 to 1 odds on the pay out……that’s how little faith I have in them winning game 6 if Mark is out is the key. Blues targeted Mark all series to take him out with aggressive borderline questionable hits, they’re doing what you would expect them to do, Names as our 2C is a joke as I said before the playoffs and back to the TDL. Blues plan is clear, take out Mark the Jets 1C and they have nothing but 3c and 4C left on the team. It’s a dirty plan but a good one. If Mark doesn’t return in the series IMO we lose game 6 about 90% chance and game 7 we have about a 40% chance of winning. Imo

Think its pretty obvious that Lowry is playing injured but if he isn't WTF!
I think he has a chronic shoulder injury, one that pops out all the time. Mike Grier had the same thing with the Oilers and it severely limited his physical play.

Lowry hasn't really been his usual physical self for a few months, now. He was out in January with an UBI -which is probably that shoulder.

Agreed

Lots of players I haven’t been happy with in this series, Lowry is one of them and he’s my favourite Jet so that hurts. He must be playing with a with serious injury, normally he would have ripped Scheen head off by game two at the latest and Lowry would scored a couple big goals. He’s been invisible so far, so I’ll wait till after the season is over and we hear the injury reports bc Lowry is not playing his normal game.

Yup. Theyve been targeting Schiefele all series. with questionable hits. Not sure where Lowry, Schenn, and Stanley have been. Eye for an eye. Kyrou and Thomas should be getting punished. Other than game 2 no one is making their guys pay the price. I swear the utter horse shit one sided reffing has gotten into their heads. No one wants to be overly physical. Also, Brayden Schenn is a walking piece of shit and can eat all the dicks.
Luke should have tuned up his brother over that.
I noticed a place behind our net where Schenn totally let up on a hit.
I know sometimes it's about not taking yourself out of the play but this didn't seem like that type of situation.

Perspective is funny because from their fans perspectives the refs and league are biased towards helping the Jets and we're the dirty team.
This dynamic essentially exists in all sports.
Everyone generally thinks their team is getting screwed and the other team is getting away with murder.
My maybe more balanced take is that the reffing has been insanely inconsistent.
Calling non-penalties, ignoring blatant ones.
I think both teams could present "evidence" of this both ways.
But to me the Brayden hit on Scheif contacted the chin/head and was away from the puck so interference, dirty and maybe a head shot.
But I would assume the hit that took Mark out was the self inflicted wound with Faksa.
55 could have tried to avoid that one instead he lowered the shoulder and was on the wrong end of a car accident.

Still need another statement game from Helle.

Have Pavelec levels of confidence in him, where I’m clenching with every shot against.

Lowry had the second highest TOI of all Jets forwards. They have obviously decided they need him on the ice and not in the box.
Dropping the gloves with Schenn would have been advantage Jets with Schenn in the box for 5.

The intent to injure has been there all series long.

It is definitely a gray area, but the frustrating part to me is nothing has prevented the Jets from trying to make Thomas or Kyrou feel the same intensity.

They simply haven’t done so.

This won’t happen let me say that, but I wouldn’t even care about game 6 in St L especially if Mark is out we have little chance of winning it. Go there, rest/sit all the top six players and top 4 D and play our backup in net. Use the game to rest our key guys and focus on physically punishing their top guys (top few forwards and top 4 D) like they 100% are focusing on trying to punish Mark all series. Then game 7 in Winnipeg you dress everyone and try and win, hopefully Mark is back and able to play. Key here I never said anything about revenge or injuring players, but this will never happen. If Mark is out for the series, our chances of winning game 6 is nearly zero and game 7 would be poor. They aggressively targeted Mark all series to take him out and punish him hard.

Post playoffs, I have more to say on where the team went wrong imo and what needs to change…..but that’s later not now
I would be outraged if we sit our top six and top four D, basically dressing a pre-season roster and Comrie for a playoff game.

I know we want to get back at the Blues but sheesh, the best revenge is to send them packing in front of their home crowd.

I think they team might be galvanized by this come out flying on Friday.

If the Jets build up a good lead, in either game.......then somebody needs to lay on a big hit or fist on Brayden Schenn.
That's useless Stan has to take every opportunity to hit Kyrou and Thomas I don't care if it leads to a goal for them. We can get back a goal.

Where has Lowry been by the way?? Ive seen him drop the gloves for lesser hits than the ones on Scheifele. Would have loved to have seen him knock Schenn the f**k out.
My thought on it..

If he jumps Schenn, he might take an instigator, losing another centre for thr 10 minute misconduct. At the very least, he puts us down another pivot for 5 minutes in a game we have to win

There's a time and place for payback. Personally, I'm glad that the Jets put their emotions aside to win the game

Take the series, wait for the schedule release for next season, and on some random night in Oct or Nov next year, Tyrell Bauer coincidently makes his NHL debut vs the Blues

They did in game 2 and it effectively took both those guys out for the rest of the game. They were total non-factors afterwards. Why they stopped doing it is a mystery.

Exactly. That's how Stan can play a role. Let Morrissey and Berg play 30 minutes a game just put Stan out for 2 minutes and lay a licking on both of those guys.

The league and the refs through their actions (not calling those penalties) are telling everyone what is allowed / what the rules are in the post season. Given that, wouldn't you want to have a Tkachuk, Schenn, Wilson, kind of player on the Jets? I wouldn't want Wilson specifically, but I would like a Tkachuk or Schenn or that type of player on the Jets, specifically for Playoff hockey. By the way, they are great in the regular season too.
The problem is that it's not uniformly allowed. What if Lowry runs Kyrou or Thomas and injures one of them so that they can't continue? I'll bet he's suspended.

The Stanley hit on Kyrou was imo the loudest that rink was minus the end of game countdown. Fun game to be at. Beautiful moment.

I was disappointed to see no retribution from Lowry after either hit, or late in the game by others when it was clear they had won it.

I know we are focusing on the Scheifele injury and some of the bullshit going on, but I need to stress how f***ing good the Jets played. Thoroughly outclassed the Blues. I don't know how we can look that good after looking so bad for 2 games.

If we bring that game again in STL, we end this series in 6.
I think we win every game against the Blues if we are allowed to play hockey..... I love a tough series, but this attempt to injure bullshit is a tactic that is so obviously being used.
