This ones for Ralph from St. James
Before Podcasts like Kenny and Renny or The Illegal Curve Show, TSN1290s Post Game Radio Program was the best place to catch post game reviews.
Towards the end of the program, the radio hosts would open up the phone lines for Jets fans that wanted to call in to provide feedback.l or ask questions.
Ralph called in after every game and provided fantastic feedback. He was a very positive and glass half full kind of guy.
On a personal note, often times I would go for a drive in my little red truck down the highway just to catch the post game on the radio and listen to Ralph's hot takes. It became tradition.
I think a big part of it was that Ralph reminded me of my Grandfather before he passed, and I wanted to hear his voice and positive takes any chance that i could get.
He closed out all of his calls with his signature phrase by reminding Jets fans/listeners "to keep their stick on the ice."
He will surely be missed within the Winnipeg Jets Community.
