Was at the game with my younger son, really enjoyed it. Jets have a lot of depth this year and it shows. We’ve been talking about the forwards lots (well deserved) but what impressed me was how well our Ds played. Tight gap right up on their guys, quick on puck retrieval, crisp passes out of our zone, very good in front of our net and they really activate in the offensive zone. We move without the puck so well in the ozone which creates passing lanes and makes the other team chase us around all night. It’s a treat to watch this team. And Helly my boy was stellar as usual! If we could ever improve special teams we will make a deep run.

Hate to have missed a game where I was explicitly called out in the GDT for my exemplary punmanship, but excited to see the Jets just kept on rolling!

Importantly, was Saxaphone Squirtle played again? That might be the difference maker.

Kind of a slow start by the Jets, but they finally woke up and showed the Bolts who has the electricity! I give this game four Penny Farthing bicycles out of five...

The Prediction Contest for the game against the San Jose Sharks has been posted, and a close race is starting to heat up. Don't forget to sign up to create your very own GDT. They are a lot of fun to do, so have at it. See you all on Thursday! Good night...

Coelacanth of the game:

#7 Vlad Namestinikov

3 assists including a brilliant calm play to serve up Ehlers to get the third goal.

Beautiful to see that one live.

Lovely Stuff.

I took a friend to the game, just got back.

Being at ice level was a rush... even down 1 - 0 my buddy and I looked at each other and we shrugged simultaneously - no worries. :)

This team is awesome. 50 points my friends.
That vantage point really emphasizes how fast the NHL game moves. Ypu almost get no sense of it by watching on TV

Thats exactly right! I was 5 rows up just behind Helle's goal in the 1st and 3rd periods. Some of those breakouts are mind numbingly fast. Its shocking... you never get that sense from watching it on TV.

TSN said the Jets are only the 3rd team since expansion (1967) to go 26 games allowing 3 or less goals. I wonder what the record is for consecutive games allowing 3 or fewer.
Apparently this is the hardest thing to verify, because we first heard 22 games, and no one has suggested otherwise since. Thought I read 44 games on Reddit?

Beating the Mild’s record would be so sweet.

How could one be from Winnipeg and not be a Jets fan?
There are plenty of people living in Winnipeg who are not Jets fans. He's almost 60, it's not exactly far fetched that an original 6 team is his team. I think he grew up in Edmonton also. Like where do you think all of the Leafs fans that show up at their games are likely from? They aren't bussing in from Etobicoke.

I wish we could throw all the fancy stats in the trash can and just enjoy the way they are playing and winning.
I threw them in the trash as soon as they became a thing.
