Just catching up now over here — what a fecking game!!! Obviously less stressful to watch knowing the result — thanks to mates across the pond — but even then the atmosphere was so intense!!!

Props to the lads, esp my man Perfetti and Pionk, but really the whole team played astonishingly well given the circumstances and pressure. Ehlers too.

Thought Fleury was brilliant. Not sure they can keep him out going forward. What a game.

What a game!!!
I wish I knew the result ahead of time so I could relax while watching it. So much tensing and shaking my head at team only to have them win.

What an experience, being at that Game. What a comeback, they actually won me my (almost) birthday game. I lost my voice screaming so much when they Tied it. Hellebuyck made some hig saves in OT, nice to see him get back to what we know he can be.

Was great seeing all the joy in the streets post game. People dancing and jumping around, great to see the city come to life like that.

Saw a lone, sad Blues fan while walking back to my car getting berated by some drunk Jets fans. I went up to him and gave him a fist bump and said good series, Blues gave us their all and almost won it. Thought why not be classy instead of an asshole. Had a good chat with him about the teams for a bit.

I hope 55 and 44 are back soon. Going to need them to have a hope vs Dallas.

I see the by clock its past midnight and I've officially turned 51, my nerves are shot, my voice is shot but i'll enjoy this one for a couple days!
Happy Birthday...guess it was a helluva early present!

Pardon me, folks, but little bit of a story time....

Had a flight where I was able to watch the regulation with my wife (new Westjet wifi via Telus is legit, streamed Sportsnet crystal clear - total game changer) We both went absolutely bonkers in the plane when Cole tied it up. Got some laughs, looks, but all in good fun.

Only problem was going to be the next flight. Had a connecting flight in Calgary back to Winnipeg. Standard wifi which can't handle shit. So we get close to our gate and there had to be nearly 30 people watching, huddled around a restaurant bar TV. Just taking in every near miss in the OTs.

As the 2nd OT was winding down - It basically got to the point where we pushed boarding as long as we could and had to get on.

People are furiously watching on their phones as they are making their way onto the plane. We are just stepping onto the plane as Lowry scores the GWG. The plane absolutely erupted in cheers and Go Jets Go chants. It was seriously so f***ing awesome.

I love this city and team so much. What a historic moment in Winnipeg hockey lore tonight. Goodness gracious.
That is an awesome story!

I'M PROUD OF YOU BOYS!!! As a Sabres fan, and being out of the playoffs for 14 years, I'd learned to root for other teams in the playoffs and I've been pulling for you boys all series.

In the final 5 minutes left, I saw people in the arena looking dejected and miserable and I'm thinking to myself "how crazy would it be for their fans to tie this game?" Literally... and they did!

That was one of the most enthralling comebacks I've ever seen in my life. And you Canadian fans care a lot about hockey and I respect that. No one deserved it more than you guys.
Now kick ass next round and win your city a cup for the first time ever!!!

I'm rooting for you guys n girls!

peace and respect
Adam.
Very nice post thanks!

I don't know what to say about Haydn Fleury.

Dude was our #8D and he just came into a Game 7 and played top 4 mins + PK and was pretty much mistake free through more than 30 mins.

He probably earned himself half a million bucks more in one game. Lol seriously!
It seemed like we had figured this out when Samberg was hurt.
Fleury played top 4 over Stanley that entire run.
He was better, then some how when Samberg came back it wasn't long before Stanley was promoted above him again.
It should have been Fleury all along.

If JoMo is out, I guess Miller gets called in?
To the chagrin of many people it's probably Stanley. Can't see Ville get into a big game now. Miller doesn't play his offside, at least he says he has never done it before. Who knows maybe Salomonsson gets a call up from the black aces to play on his offside.

totally hurting and so much shyte to do

I didn't even drink, but just the adrenalin wearing off and the pounding headache from screaming for hours has given me a mother of a hangover. On my third bottle of ice water already.

But as Weird Al Yankovic once sang, I'll be mellow when I'm dead so BRING ON THE WORK WEEK and BRING ON THE STARS.

After coles first goal it was fun to watch the grit and desire that comes from desperation, after that goal I think the Jets did one of the best jobs of winning board battles and taking away the middle of the ice, tanev really showed some guts, but for the most part the whole team did and I think allowed 8 shots in 2 periods of play, the d and forwards stripped pucks continously, fluery really deserved the player of the game for how little he played of late and he stood tall.what can I say about cole his game is rounding out and he reminds me of breire in alot of ways except the stick work, helle I was happy for him to get the win but at the same time the team in front of him knew they had to really limit the shots on him and they did in spades.

I thought he was pretty good earlier in the year when Samberg was out.
He played that elevated role in the top 4 and looked better than our other options (Stan, Miller, Heinola)
I still think stanley left his mark on this series, every team needs a guy that can rake the edge of their glove along the oppositions face, as well as hits that set the tone, but there was no denying that fluery was one of the Jets best d last night.

Soz -- I have been on rounds today and have had to keep the game running in the breakroom so the stream didn't crap out.

Managed to get back for the Perfetti tying goal in real (catchup) time and by the overtime winner there were around 9 of us round the laptop, 4 of whom had never seen a hockey game before, including an ace neurosurgeon and rugby fan who was using reading glasses to try to follow the puck...

When the Lowry goal came we were shouting and bumping around in our own mini-greenout/ whiteout bash -- these Jets and the sport have gained a few converts with this one for sure!

Also wanted to give a quick shout-out to Barron and Vilardi, who were both terrific, especially with some key F/Os and bump plays.

That was one gen-u-wine thrilla! Still buzzing.
