Congrats guys. That was one of the best games I’ve ever watched

It’s a clean slate for Hellebuyck is round 2

One thing I noticed right away was how fast the play was compared to the leafs/sens. It reminded me of 4 Nations

Well this win was likely worth atleast a couple hundred more season tickets for Chipman next year. That an a minimum of two more playoff games is going to help his wallet.

This might amuse only me. But if you look at the EDGE Goal Visualizer on the tying goal, Ehlers' mis-timed shot looks like a perfectly executed give-and-go with Lowry.

IMO, if St.L had played the whole series like the Overtimes ( ie: playing good physical playoff hockey minus all the dirty play, trying to injure players, and the head hunting ) the Jets would have won this series in 5 games.

Also, the team play in the OT was heartwarming to say the least.

I was absolutely floored. Here's Pionk, 40 minutes of ice time, still making rock-solid fundamental defensive plays. Players covering for each other as they started to get gassed. Just unbelievable stuff.

No one would have thought much if we had just curled up with JMo and Chef out and we're down 3-1 after two. "Them's the breaks" obituaries would be halfway typeset around the world.

And while I still want to reiterate that there is a lot of luck/chaos/variance in athletics (see which, Ehlers's final plays in regulation), and that victory is still not a matter of willing your team to victory, I have to admit that I'll have a hard time selling that to people that watched this game.

That's a game we will remember forever friends.

Someone mentioned it earlier but @surixon belief in Perfetti completely vindicated in one game. I thought he was one of our top 3 forwards for the entire series to be honest.

Fleury coming in and playing that well was amazing. You see the flashes of why he was a top 10 pick, he can skate and handle the puck with the best of them. I imagine there's so many coaches that have been like 'if we can just get some consistency..'

Nothing more can be said about Pionk's game. What an absolute stud. I have been critical of him at times but his A game is top tier. Stepping up like that when Jomo went out, you can't ask for anything more.

Helle looked like a different goalie in the 3rd and OT. We found a way to win a series with him being worse than an ECHL goalie. We get the Hart trophy candidate and watch the f*** out league.

I'M PROUD OF YOU BOYS!!! As a Sabres fan, and being out of the playoffs for 14 years, I'd learned to root for other teams in the playoffs and I've been pulling for you boys all series.

In the final 5 minutes left, I saw people in the arena looking dejected and miserable and I'm thinking to myself "how crazy would it be for their fans to tie this game?" Literally... and they did!

That was one of the most enthralling comebacks I've ever seen in my life. And you Canadian fans care a lot about hockey and I respect that. No one deserved it more than you guys.
Now kick ass next round and win your city a cup for the first time ever!!!

I'm rooting for you guys n girls!

Old grinder from St. Louis here, wishing you well into the playoffs. I can't imagine how you all feel today after that amazing comeback. I will be wearing my 1985 era Jets white jersey today with my Jets cap in honor of one of the most amazing series wins ever. Congrats and enjoy the moment!
