Just catching up now over here — what a fecking game!!! Obviously less stressful to watch knowing the result — thanks to mates across the pond — but even then the atmosphere was so intense!!!

Props to the lads, esp my man Perfetti and Pionk, but really the whole team played astonishingly well given the circumstances and pressure. Ehlers too.

Thought Fleury was brilliant. Not sure they can keep him out going forward. What a game.

What a game!!!

As much as that last second pass from Ehlers on the goal to tie it up was a stone cold, icy-veined killer play...it was also the sort of thing Nik is kinda known for right? I mean his whole story is that he's a great player who scores goals and drives the play for you but also makes some crazy decisions and is sorta unpredictable and sometimes he does stuff that will drive you a little crazy. That's exactly his MO...
Yup, high risk and high reward

Had that pass skipped over Connor's stick and the game ended 3-2, we'd be cursing him for not shooting there lol

But that's sports

I have been on vacation for a few days and just came home.

Watching the highlights this morning without knowing the score, my emotions were like a roller coaster and my heart beat rate ranged from 120 to 500. At first I was devastated and feared the worst. When Perfetti equalized I screamed like hell and was in tears. Roughly 1-2 seconds before the end of the game... holy shit! I have never ever experienced anything close to that. Unbelievable!

Then Lowry happened. My eyes were sweating (of joy!) again. In fact I cried like a baby, but who cares? A game for the ages... that's how legends are made. I'm incredibly proud and happy. Wow, that was a miracle, that was Jets hockey!

We finally crushed our curse without Scheif or Morrissey. Hellebuyck saved us in OT.

I'm proud to be a Jets fan. Let's go Jets!

I still can't believe it the next day. What a game, absolutely incredible.

Perfetti was clutch, Pionk was incredible, so many guys stepped up. The entire D played great considering losing Morrissey in the 1st and going to double OT.

That was one for the memory bank for sure.

To make that pass with 4 seconds left.... The image of him watching that whole sequence on his knee will be remembered for me.

What a game.

really, with 2 minutes left and Helly out of the net I was just waiting for the EN goal from the Blues to ice it away. Even when we got within one, I'm still thinking "yeah but they are going to get the empty-netter now anyway..." But nope...

When the Jets were down 3-1, I was preparing for the worst. I never gave up hope, but it certainly didn't look good. What an amazing comeback, and to think, Rick Bowness called it! You see, they do have push back! Losing Morrissey for any length of time will be devastating, so let's hope it's nothing serious. I give this game four "comebacks" out of five...

The Prediction Contest for Game One against the Dall-ass Tars has been posted for your guesses. Thanks again to @Luc Labelle for the fantastic GDT, way to go! The first game of the second round is available if anyone would like to make the GDT. See you all on Wednesday. Good night! Oh, who am I kidding, how can I sleep after a double overtime Jets win?

C’mon @macmaroon! That has to be a 5 out of 5, if it doesn’t, not sure anything does!:D

I would just like to congratulate Brock Nelson on a well played series against the Dallas Stars. You lost, but man, you took the Stars to 7 games.

(Edit) This is a knock against Nelson for not wanting to come to Winnipeg, if anyone is wondering.

Ehlers almost blew it twice in the last 2 minutes, probably had 3 bad plays before the one genius feed at the 3 second left mark... him and Connor were game breakers when we needed them to be.

This one was going to have to be ugly to find a way and what a gutsy effort again at home.

Kudos to the Blues, they took out two of our star players playing relatively clean hockey. Hitting to hurt and playing on the edge. That's playoff hockey.

I have a lot of respect for Thomas now, Snuggerud effort right out of college was crazy, he looked like a ten year vet. Nathan Walker is a menace and did to us what Miles Wood did for the Avs. Those tenacious types always shine in playoffs. Parayko is a monster, so is Brayden Schenn.

I can't believe the Jets didn't just gut this one out. They managed to play their system probably the better of the team in the 2nd, 3rd, OT1 and OT2... with a bubble roster at best they dug in and showed the power of playing as a team.

Even if Dallas doesn't go well, the team has a lot to be proud of overcoming adversity. Perfetti is never going to be the same player again. No doubt is going to creep into his head in a big moment ever again.

I have to admit that after it was 1-3, I was so discouraged, that I logged out of the GDT with a comment that it was over and I'd be back next season. (@Eyeseeing made a very clever edit of my post. Thanks.)
I continued watching the game and all that I can say is "Wow!" I'll get discouraged again but I'll never give up on this team.
Go Jets Go!
