Awesome comeback, but give St. Louis credit, they played their game plan to a T and were 1.6 seconds away from round 2.

I have given every team that beat the Jets in the playoff or took the Jets deep in a seres credit inculding the 17-18 Preds so I am not some homer but I don't give St Louis any credit at all. Their performance was not great if you consider the context.

They got gifted with some of the easiest goaltending probably in NHL playoff history. Jets goalies combined Goals Saved Above Expected was -13.55 over the series. Whereas Binnington had a good series with +2.11 GSAx. To put this into perspective the Jets goaltending was equivalent to giving the Blues a 2 GOAL HEADSTART in every game based on GSAx. The fact that considering that they didn't win this series 4-1 or 4-2 is awful. If the Jets did that they would be getting torn to shreds on this board. Infact I am not sure if any team has won a series with -2 GSAx per game.

Secondly they were facing a Jets team that had, their 1C missing for 50% of the series, their #1RW missing 60% of the series and their #2 LW missing 70% of the series. On top of that the Jets 1D missing almost entirely in game 7. Whereas they other than Holloway had no major player miss time.

I don't think the Blues are gonna face a team that was essentially missing a top line for more than half the series and even when those players came back they weren't 80%, missing their 1D for the entirity of the double OT game 7 and on top of that having one of the worst series goaltending wise in terms of advanced stats.

And this is not even counting their pathetic attempts to injure players, so I give them no credit. They faced an opponent decimated with injuries, with its top player delivering ECHL level performance and still shat the bed at the end of the day.

Full credit to the boys they never quit. #1 Center down, #1 Defencemen down, Franchise goalie having a bad run and they never quit. Helle stood tall through the final frames. Namestnikov puts us within 1. Perfetti with the heroics to keep us in it then tie the game with 1.6 seconds on the board. Pionk playing over 40 minutes and never gave up on a single play. Fleury stepped up big in Morrisseys absence. Connor had a rough start but really picked it up at the end. Ehlers was skating like a lightning bug on the breeze. Both help to tie the game late. Captain comeup clutch in double overtime.

They didn't make it easy but they did it in style.

When the Jets were down 3-1, I was preparing for the worst. I never gave up hope, but it certainly didn't look good. What an amazing comeback, and to think, Rick Bowness called it! You see, they do have push back! Losing Morrissey for any length of time will be devastating, so let's hope it's nothing serious. I give this game four "comebacks" out of five...

The Prediction Contest for Game One against the Dall-ass Tars has been posted for your guesses. Thanks again to @Luc Labelle for the fantastic GDT, way to go! The first game of the second round is available if anyone would like to make the GDT. See you all on Wednesday. Good night! Oh, who am I kidding, how can I sleep after a double overtime Jets win?

Man, I was watching the boxscore on TSN cause my anxiety couldn't handle watching the game live. The ticker went down to 0 and showed the score as a 3-2 final!🤣 Started sad posting to friends only to realized we tied! Debated not turning on the game because it could be bad luck. Turned it on anyway just incase I could witness history. So glad I turned on the TV. Go Jets Go!

Trying to keep track of the game here at work in Australia. It's just about 2pm. I was really expecting to see a final score with a loss when I checked in after seeing it was 3-1 in the third. Then they were tied and I was incredulous. Now I see they've won the damn thing and I'm... I don't have words. The whole family here is pretty pumped about this. They've all texted me. I guess we've just got to believe now. It ain't over til it's over.

Amen!
Jim.Montgomry is a clown
Brayden Scheen is a menace with no remorse.
The only way they could win was targeting the best players. Justice was served!
