Stat watching now a lot.

Thet 1 (offside) goal that they allowed against Helly could be huge by the end of the season.
If Helly ends up with a 2.01 GAA

if he goes under 2.00 GAA this kind of high scoring year. That is crazy stats plus the wins stats.

If he is withing 1 game 48 wins or 49 wins

i think he plays the last game of the year.

Coelacanth of the game:

#22 Mr. Lunchbucket "Lord of the Greasy" Mason Appleton.

His play in the last three games has been clutch. Not flashy, but showing the kind of grit the Jets will look for in the playoffs. Very deserving of the Coelacanth.

After all the diatribe on AHLpleton...

It seemed he was a ubiquitous stocked Rainbow Trout...

No... He has adipose diversity... he is a slippery... stealthy fish...

This was my X-MAS present game.
After 10+ years of season tickets I don't get to too many games any more (just a few a year at best).
These tickets were in my old section and row just a few seats over so definitely some nice nostalgia.
Being there in person for that Perfetti goal was MAGIC!!!

In person the offside goal was a total mystery.
We had no clue it was even an issue until they announced the challenge.
Then you wait the entire time with no replays to get the bad news.
Then they show us one measly replay from the worst angle.
Sheesh.

To think he could also have had two more shutouts so far if not for a couple blown D coverages in the dying minutes of two games.

Give Scott Arniel some credit...he doesn't care about our stats or our opinions.

He knows all these guys on a much more personal basis. I get the sense that Adam Lowry really likes going to battle with Appleton. Hence why they've been doing it for years. The post 4 Nations struggle for the checking line required some kind of shakeup. Putting Appleton in more of a digger role with Ehlers playing more support in the high ice, periphery, paid dividends.

I said it in the Caps game, that PP ice time probably was meant to give him some confidence needed, and that one goal could lead to more.

Edit: that was after complaining about his play for 4 weeks.

Miller has been looking good lately, who said he had a bad game?

He's been pretty consistent. Good in his own end. I wasn't following too closely but did Stan get benched for a bit in the 2nd? Saw Morrissey out there with Miller. Maybe just changes got thrown off?

Of the 3 RD in the lineup Miller is probably the fastest. Both De Melo and Schenn were attacked off the edge.

When Pionk comes back who sits?

Maybe Jets should try another period with Pionk on his offside with Miller. Where the two can switch up in the offensive zone to be even more dangerous.

I still like Schenn up there playing shutdown with Samberg. It's helped Sammy to take a step, and they are more of a shutdown pair with the physicality.

Whatever dude. Without Helly this team dos not 'fly'.
Most wild card teams are very good.
The Jets are proving to be better than good with him in net.
Hope it lasts i not the playoffs
Why do some people say this like it's a bad thing ? Take out every team's best player and you can say the exact same thing about those teams. We aren't getting out shot or outplayed every game with Helly standing on his head getting us wins . And ya you are right we are better than good ,we are the best team in the entire league.

You and me both I haven’t been able to see a game live on TV for this homestand. Now I am in Kelowna for this week and won’t be watching any games either. Too bad I hear they are playing well this season. :sarcasm:
