Easy money just bet Dallas to be tied after 3 periods.
Seriously it seems like majority of their games go into OT or SO.

What annoys me is the blatant double standards. Earlier in the year Cole took a penalty late in second period and a go ahead goal was scored on the resulting PP. He rode the pine the rest of the game. Dubois does the same today leading to the same result and keeps getting all the ice time he can handle. Cole's penalty atleast came on his busting his ass on the back check whereas Dubois was an I credibly selfish play.

I just don't like the whole stick approach especially when it is only applied to rookies or younger players. If that is the standard then the coach needs to damn well hold it consistent for all players.

Nice game - consistent effort and they didn't force anything. Did a pretty good job of containing a fast team that know how to move the puck up ice.
I thought the bottom 6 looked pretty good tonight despite the trouble they have scoring goals - they set the tone for effort and didn't give up a lot.
The top 6 stepped up in the third - they have another gear when they want it.
Big Save was really composed out there - you'd almost think Helle is giving him a few pointers.
Lowry proving his value on this team - I'm glade we have him despite the scoring drought.

I liked the TSN comments post game - they are all pretty much calling for the Jets to go all in - but they don't think they need much.
Third line scoring Lw'er - 3rd pairing dman with some size and solid fundamentals. I'm all in on that.

The coach just sending a message to the rookie ... I bet Torts did the same thing to PLD when he was a rookie.
PLD also drew 2 penalties which people forget. Jets score on one of those PPs and the pinball fluke goal is forgiven.

Benching Pld when there are concerns he is already on his way out is very dangerous.

I remember working for some companies where they valued senority over results. Not a great way to retain someone busting their ass.

Yup and benching one of your top goal scorers and point producers does what to mount a comeback? He deserves the leeway given his scoring. Perfetti got benched for a bit and really no harm done he doesn't score. PLD scored the game tying goal and win in a SO.

PLD is one of the team leaders in goals and points. That's results. They're trying to mount a comeback he'd probably be the one of the main guys to pot one in and ultimately was.

Fast tempo, hard skating game by both teams, and very entertaining. I thought the Jets had slightly the better of the play, but Seattle is not an easy out. Jets all played good and starting to look more consistent, and I hope they keep it up. Very much enjoyed the effort from all 4 lines tonight.

I'm starting to see why the Jets may need a big time scorer added to the lineup, just might be the kick in the ass our other top guns need game in game out, but the cost will be severe.

The context I made wasn’t about PLD, but more empathy for Cole.

Another win by the Jets, the first in a shootout this season. It was touch and go there for a while, but the good guys came through in the end. I give the game three angry Squidwards out of five...

As always, don't forget to check out the new Prediction Contest thread for the game against Columbus, and while you are at it, why not sign up to create your very own GDT! There are still plenty of games available, including the one with the Blue Jackets...

I thought that was a pretty entertaining game.

I like the different ways the Jets created offense tonight, from some grinding on the boards, to playing with a 3rd forward up top, to making quick passes into the middle with timing, also the defense activating.

I thought some of the problems occurred when the Jets started trying to make those ill advised cross ice zone passes, and they didn't gap up in the neutral zone, but all in all, against a good team, a good all around effort.

3rd line set the tone. Adam Lowry was a beast tonight. 4th line was good too. Top 6 was a little too cute at times. Loved the move Perfetti pulled though, he was lucky he didn't lose chiclets with that kind of net drive. But hey if you want to play in the playoffs it's not the perimeter where you attack, but the gut.

I like the way Bones didn't hesitate to change up combinations, both up front and on defense. Hard to say if any particular changes were effective but if you see something you don't like don't just roll through it. Sometimes you have to motivate your players to play better.

I thought Dubois wasn't dialed in enough early, and that was a selfish penalty he took, that could have cost the team the game. But where lady luck put the team down, lady luck brought them back. And Dubois with a couple of big goals in the 3rd and in the shootout, well I guess he's redeemed.

I thought Rittich played a strong game tonight, which was needed.

It took 51 games to get back to a healthy lineup that started the year, but I think in terms of roles, the organization has to be pretty happy with the result of its group.

7 games now before the trade deadline. I expect to see some motivation from players who are competing for spots, and to stay in the lineup. I still get the sense this team could use a little more grit in the top 6, although with the right defense combinations, the skaters do a pretty good job of making room for themselves.
