This is our Year
Some of us just really need to appreciate we have Helly. I don't know when again that kind of goalie caliber will be on the Jets team, once he retires.
It seems, every goal that opponents scored on Helly unless its a perfect shot is a bad goal.
The 3rd vezina is his too lose now with the remaining games he will still play.
The Hart Trophy is debatable. But he should be top 3 the least.
I'm a homer but he should win it, close yeah.... I think he is much more important to the Jets than any other current Hart Trophy candidates now this year. But just because the Jets team are a great team really all around , all year. That will not help his case because it will seem that he is not carrying the team for some other perception or limited observation.
Below was Helly stats last year when he won the Vezina:
The ninth-year Jets netminder was a near-unanimous selection, winning 31 first-place votes and one second-place tally from the 32 NHL general managers for 158 voting points. Thatcher Demko of the Vancouver Canucks, named on 30 of 32 ballots as a top-three pick, placed second in the voting with 70 points, followed by the Florida Panthers’ Bobrovsky (40 points). Hellebuyck (37‑19‑4, 2.39 GAA, .921 SV%, 5 SO)
