Post-Game Talk: Jets 3 - Caps 2 in OT

That was a real fun game to be at. Glad we got the win and clinched.
Real strong effort from everyone.
Perfetti seems to be on the Scheifele trajectory, coming alive as a true impact player the second half of his draft plus 5 year. He was terrific in all facets tonight. The play that impressed me the most was late in the game the Jets were having issues clearing the puck and he just bulls the Caps player over takes the puck and dumps it in so that his line could change. That's the type of play his coaches will love. His puck skills in traffic were also on full display today.
Happy that Appelton got a goal to get his confidence going. Didn't do much offensively outside of it but was sound defensively.
Nino has been much better lately and made a great pass on the second goal. It took him a but to figure out how his new linemates play but was good once he did.
Lowry needs a goal, he's fighting it a bit.
I found Mark and Fly to be trying to do too much with the puck at times but they made the offensive plays when they needed to.
All our dmen played quite well. I have liked Stanley's play since getting back in. Making better reads with the puck and him and Miller play well off each other.
I do worry about Schenn's footspeed in the top 4 at times.
Snerg and JoMo once again the two best dmen.

I was yelling at the tv for the ref to call a penalty there. I’ve never seen a guy cross checked so many times with no call.

Shorthanded Overtime Winner!!!!
It seems like he has a real good handle on the players that he has, a lot of us before the game including myself were second guessing his line combo's. I guess Arny knows best

Stings to lose in OT but that was a thoroughly enjoyable game. Two big, fast, well-coached teams. Hopefully it's not the last time they meet this season.

Random thoughts from my view:
Great vibe in the rink well before the game and high intensity throughout…playoff atmosphere
Pretty much the entire team played well…as much as it perplexes me, I have nobody to rag on.
Good game from 9 playing with 81 and 55 tonight
Perfetti and Vlad read each other so well. Fetts is on his way to becoming a gem. Great game tonight. Love his new feisty prick attitude.
Samberg is a rock. Both ends of the ice. Please sign him up…
Ehlers will also earn/deserve a big payday. Hopefully it’s here.
Posters complaining about Helle need some quiet time to think about their poor decision making and lack of understanding about hockey.
Wilson is a great player…and as much as I try liking him, he is such a b***h out there. Trying to act like a tough guy until he saw he was dealing with Schenn (great add btw).
For 9/10 of his shifts Ovi looks like I do in beer league…until he sniffs a scoring opportunity and goes and scores. Legend.
Dubois looks like the guy we hoped we traded for. Best line of the night though was when someone yelled ‘coach what do I do?!’ when he had the puck in his own zone.
Quite a lot of Caps fans in the rink. Glad they saw an Ovi goal. Much more tolerable than some other road fans (cough..leafs...cough)
Craft beer corner is good.

Caps played it as good as they placed two shooters on both side and middle guy have the puck.
