Habs - drafted sex offender Mailloux
Isles - signed DeAngelo
Canes - trading for drug addict Kuznetsov
Hawks - protecting Aldrich
Avs - keeping Nichushkin after his booze/drug? fueled incident
Preds - hired drunk driver Brunette
St. Louis/Edmonton - Kasperi Kapanen another drunk driver in the books
Arizona - drafted Mitchell Miller
Boston - signed Mitchell Miller
  • Sheahan got a super DUI while wearing a Tele Tubby costume and using B Smith's ID. Bobby Ryan was a recovering alcoholic.
  • Kane beat up a cabbie. Sprong one upped him by beating up a Formula 1 driver.
  • Kuz's teammate Vrana was also a drug addict (confirmed now), but Stevie did trade him away.
  • Austin Watson was arrested for abusing his girlfriend and was suspended by the NHL
  • In more distant history, there's Uncle Todd (Bertuzzi), Dino (The Capital's limo incident), and Probbie who had all kinds of issues.
Alcoholism and drug addictions are are considered mental illness, and I don't think teams need to shy away from players as long as they receive proper treatment. Sexual abuse, domestic violence, and racism should never be tolerated. Signing Watson shows that Stevie is willing to deal with some character issues. The incident happened in Oct 2018, so less than 7 years ago.

We will see. We've had a few guys recently that handled Liiga very well only to bottom out once they got over to NA. I'll remain cautiously optimistic that he can become a decent 3rd line winger down the road.

Do people think he cracks the top 10 prospect list?
1 ASP 2. MBN 3. Danielson 4. Cossa 5. Buchelnikov 6. Augustine 7. Plante 8. Lombardi, 9 Mazur 10. Kiiskennen.
That order could go differently, but those should be our top 10 prospects

Now screenshot the part where a witness told police they saw Watson assault her, that Watson himself told police he shoved her, and that she had red marks on her at the time.

Do you also believe Voynov's wife saying she just "Fell down" after he beat her and then slammed her head into a TV?

Women have a habit of recanting these things... Especially when their abuser makes seven figures.

And now 7 years later, they are married and have 2 kids. So maybe it happened like she said in the statement.

Pro Hockey Player Austin Watson Wedding to Jenn Watson at Idyllic Nashville Venue
With those looks she wouldn't have problems to find another seven figure provider.

Get a F outta here, NO. Russians beat up wives all the time.

That moment you realize that Voynov is also married to his victim, and they have two kids.

So in summary, you only assume Voynov is a piece of shit because he's Russian, and Watson was innocent, because he's not Russian.

Incredible logic. I'm so grateful Americans don't have a domestic violence problem like Russians. :sarcasm:

Strawman. All nationalities have piece of shits. Since you're not familiar with the subject, in Russia relationship between man & wife is more "traditional". "Fell down" argument is used there more often. Voynov was already married, Watson's didn't get married until 2023, 5 years after the incident.

And do you think that in these days and age of metoo-movement, Jenn wouldn't have sued him? If she would have been in it for the money, like you said, abuser makes 7 figures and woman changes story. Money would have changed hands and there would have been no reason to stay in abusive relationship.

"All nationalities have piece of shits". Yes, which is why it's weird that you singled out the Russian while defending Watson's innocence.

Both Watson and Voynov are abusive pieces of shit. You can leave it at that. You're just embarrassing yourself trying to differentiate the two.

Asp
Nygard
Danielson
Cossa
Augustine
lombardi
Buchelnikov
Finnie
Kiiskinen

Mazur is 23 and will make the team so he’s out for me

Plante wallinder buium guimond James basically left over ... I put in anton cause he’s looked good so far and played in the shl with men and is still 20. I think he’ll be a player

James unfortunately I think will walk ... if we hold on to our picks we gotta do good in the first three rounds
