  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

Here are the goal videos.

Kiiskinen orange #88 in Golden helmet (best point-scorer).

I've said it earlier, but I really love this guy how naturally he acts at at interviews etc. Always so positive and always smiling with a lovely smile, throwing some funny comments. You just can't hate it. He will absolutely will be a good add to any lockerroom.

Got same feelings of Pellikka (personality), but Kiiskinen is something more. Good kids to have. Think they take their game and careers seriously, but also give energy for their teammates acting like that. Nice guys to hang around.

No wonder character matters to this org, locker room filled guys with similar mind set.

He seems like a future NHLer. He has that ‘it’ factor and just always seems to come up in clutch moments.

Why does he have a different helmet on? They give you a golden helmet if you're the top scorer? Can someone explain this lol. Never seen anything like it.

It’s actually quite impressive to have 10K posts on this here hockey message board and never been exposed to European hockey, especially given the team you root for. Yes, in Finland the top scorer on each team wears a golden helmet.

They do it in the Swiss NL and in Finland. I think they also do it in Czech Extraliiga but could be wrong. I don’t think they do it in Sweden, but if your team wins the championship they give you a gold helmet at the celebration.

Wow that's awesome. It seems like it would make you a target if you are wearing a golden helmet as the top scorer in the NHL tho lol

How many orgs does character not matter? Can we get a list?
Habs - drafted sex offender Mailloux
Isles - signed DeAngelo
Canes - trading for drug addict Kuznetsov
Hawks - protecting Aldrich
Avs - keeping Nichushkin after his booze/drug? fueled incident
Preds - hired drunk driver Brunette
St. Louis/Edmonton - Kasperi Kapanen another drunk driver in the books
Arizona - drafted Mitchell Miller
Boston - signed Mitchell Miller

Thanks, so most emphasize character. Not a real stump to brag on.

Exactly, @Steve Yzerlland. How didn’t you know that? Any IDIOT knows that.

No, I had no clue they did that either lol.

They don't show those games on Foxsports detroit or bally sports or fanduel for the duration of my 10k posts.

Max Bultman's latest prospect update has a nice little tidbit on Kiiskinen:

Kiiskinen likewise had a strong season, scoring nearly a point per game in Finland’s top league and potting six goals in seven games at the world juniors.
Gotta love a guy who projects as a bottom 6'er who still produces offense. I hope he gets some playing time in Grand Rapids soon. It sounds like they are still working on his ELC.

GR could be an interesting team to watch in a few weeks.

Do we think he'll be in GR next year as he'll be 20 at that point. (Although I don't think that matters with him being a Euro, Tats was 18).

I don't really see the point in him staying in Finland as it doesn't have the comp level for a KHL or SEL, and he had a heck of a season.
