Would it be something helpful to him? well thats at least arguable

In Russia that year, Gaudreau scored seven times in seven games.
But that wasn’t his take-away highlight.
“For me, it was beating Canada (5-1) in the semifinal,” says Gaudreau. “Then we got the chance to go to the championship. It was my first pretty big international stage … and going pretty far in the tournament, it was pretty special to me.
“I think it helped me, moving forward in my career. After that one tournament, it pushed me to play a lot better (for Boston College). When I realized I could do it on a stage like that, it just gave me a lot more confidence to come back and play really well in college.”
