He was LTIR this year after needing immediate neck surgery after a dirty cross check to the back against the boards against Columbus last year in a meaningless late season game.

Injuries ended his career early unfortunately. Hope he gets healthy and best of luck in retirement. Always an outside chance he re-circulates in two years or so in Allsvenskan, HockeyEttan or something.

Everyone pretty clearly knew he wouldn’t play again after the injury he picked up in the meaningless final regular season game of 23/24, we signed Carrier long term as a FA last summer with the knowledge Fast was done. Was a great Hurricane and I miss seeing him out there with Martinook and Staal.
