Looks to be another Bill Zito homerun signing.
JB just set a career high in goals and well on his way to new career high in assists and points as well.
He's 27 in October but just curious what everyone thinks he will get on his next deal if it's with Florida.

Can we get player comparables in age/contract/production and his analytics or player card as well?
I'd say he's easily our best add this year.

12 goals, 20 points in 47 GP
13 minutes TOI, 109 hits, 17 blocks, 12 PIMs, 53 SOG, 22.6 S%

His first 23 GP, 3 goals and 5 points and -7
His next 24 GP, 9 goals and 15 points and +8

Those 9 goals have him 3rd behind Reinhart and Tkachuk and those 15 points are 6th best among all players on the team in that time frame.

His shooting % is crazy high right now but maybe they give him a bump in minutes next year.
I really think he could replace Rodrigues if we ship his cap and contract out the door.

I chose 2x2.25, but I would have selected 2x2.5 if available

Added an other option and added change vote if need be.

If Erod can get $3M, Boqvist probably gets similar with a higher cap if he continues his good play.

I honestly have no idea, I'm terrible at guessing contract values.

I think the interesting factor here is that his finishing has been incredible... 23% is about 10% higher than his average over the past three seasons. On the other hand, he's taking more shots this year (by a good margin) and getting more chances, so I don't think his production is a total fluke.

The real value of the player here seems to me to be that he's a great fit for the team. He forechecks hard, he plays with a bit of an edge, and he's defensively responsible.

Hopefully. They are both crucial pieces imo. Really, what happens at the deadline will dictate a lot .

Exactly. The deadline will tell us what happens with Benny and Ek. Remember that teams have $3.5M in cap space above what was anticipated to play with next year as well which will make it a lot easier to keep players with term and a lot harder to sign UFAs.

Some analysts are forecasting McD will get $18M per from Toronno, who will then ditch Marner and Tavares.

I believe the $18M part of it, mostly.
