GDT: JERKS IN THE HEART OF THE ENEMY

The single most unsettling thing I've seen in a while

Brind'Amour smiling and laughing during a mid-game bench interview.

:eek3:

Also Rod from last game where he said: "no it f***ing wasn't" regarding a penalty Carolina took (that I forgot already)

I laughed out loud reading his lips when he said that. Ah, so cathartic to live vicariously through Rod when he complains at, and curses at the refs for the bullshit we have to deal with. I'm waiting for him to throw the bench at one of the refs one of these days, and I think there should be a GoFundMe to pay the fine Rod would receive.

Let's hope the Toronto-Florida series goes to game 7, and Winnipeg-Dallas too (since Edmonton already beat Vegas in 5 games). Hopefully all of our opposition become as worn down as possible.

I still dont know if I want to face FLA or TOR. FLA is gonna be on a tear and Bob will be hot if they win. If TOR comes back they will probably not have the cloud over them
Don’t care who wins, just want it to go 9 games!

Someone mentioned earlier that our "boss" was Tkachuk, but I think it's Bob. Bob's goaltending in 2023 was the best I have ever seen in 20+ years of watching. Seems this year we have dispelled some of the hot goalie voodoo against our team. Markstrom and Thompson had moments of brilliance, but both of them it feels like we flat out solved. Bob, interestingly, has had way worse numbers than Marky and Thompson so far, but we all know what Bob is capable of.

Against the Leafs, I don't feel like there is a Boogeyman. Maybe Matthews, I guess.

That was me. We’ll see on Bob. Like you said, he’s having a way different year so far than 2023.

To me it’s more the mental battle. Guys like Tkachuk, Wilson, Marchand, etc., exist to get in your head and get you off your game. Tkachuk’s the one guy of that ilk that I haven’t seen the Canes handle properly. Granted, no one’s really handled him properly the last few years.

Toronto concerns me just because they’re such a wild card. Matthews and Stolarz being hurt helps. But who knows what winning a Game 7 would do for them.

Either way, ECF will be a battle. Hope we win a game.

Fortunately this year Svech will not be denied. In 2023 we did not have anyone who took the bull by the balls
