GDT: JERKS IN THE HEART OF THE ENEMY

My biggest concern is we’ve been relatively healthy this playoff run, in large part due to who our opponents have been thus far.

The last few years, we’ve faced the Islanders in the first round and they were “sneaky dirty” in the same way Florida is. “Accidental” headshots, cross checks, slashes behind the play, etc. And we never came out of those series unscathed.

Assuming its Florida next round, it’ll be a completely different series than the ones we’ve had this run thus far.
Normally I would agree with this, but the Devils were extremely "sneaky dirty" (in that they took advantage of not being penalized for anything), and then Washington wasn't the least bit sneaky about it at all (though again, not ever called for it). We've managed to keep up with the physicality, which is rather unusual for our team. Outside of Washington game 2, we've been averaging close to 40 hits/game, generally we average about 10-15...we haven't let them intimidate us physically which is where we often go into our protective shell and never come back out. I'm hoping TOR/FLA go 7 games + OTs and beat the hell out of each other so whoever we face has to play a bit more conservatively and the amount of dirty plays against us is drastically reduced.

OK, so of the teams in the playoffs this year, you've already vanquished two of my three most hated teams, but the toughest one is up next. You beat the shmevils, not that I expected much from them, and you beat the Pootins. I historically didn't hate Florida, but now they're really dirty, and if that wasn't bad enough, they picked up Nosenstein this year.

Beat them.

I like our group <3

There hasn't been nearly as much fatigue at the end of regular season and during first two rounds compared to earlier seasons. Whatever happens in conference finals, I expect they give their everything. Earlier they had little left in them.

Svech has been a pleasent surprise. And as I speculated earlier, he just goes through the regular season avoiding injuries.

Freddie also has surprised me. I think he feels the team trusts him and he plays well because of that. He came back over and over again after different difficulties. It would be emotional if he would get a big reward for all the hard work.

Feels good. Enjoy the ride fellow HF26ers.

It’d be splendid if Andersen kept playing like this - results and healthwise.

I hope I am able to keep the GDT energy, because I am a bit spent.

No team in the NHL brings THAT MUCH HATE IN ME.

I think I peaked in game 4.
Get an IV and get ready to get back in there! This mortal shell will heal.

Vengeance knows no weakness.

If we face Florida, you know they're going to do some rat shit that will sustain your particular brand.

I'd prefer 4 but
Can’t win 4 without winning 1.

Andersen’s play has been the key to all of this. It has covered up for all the little whoopsies that all teams have in these high pressure games. So… over/under on the number of GP before Florida takes him out for the rest of the year? I put it at 2.5.
