VERY PLEASING OUTCOME OF THE LAST GAME AND THE ENTIRE HOME SEGMENT.

Now it’s time TO FINALLY PUT THE ABOMINABLE DEGENERATE ROTTEN MONSTROUS WART ON THE FACE HOCKEYDOM TO AN END.

There is no time like the present.

When dealing with a cancerous mass one must not be heedless, but one must not be hesitant either.

IF ALL YOU CAN KILL IT IS A RUSTY TYPHUS-COVERED POKER YOU KILL IT WITH A RUSTY TYPHUS-COVERED POKER.

BE TOXIC. BE RADIOACTIVE. BE UNPREDICTABLE.

THAT WHICH YOU WILL FACE WILL GIVE YOU NO QUARTER UNLESS IT IS QUARTERED.

AWAIT THE MOMENT OF HOLY WRATH LIKE AN OFFERING.

Maybe you should've learned
To apologize (FOR YOUR EXISTENCE)

On Jarvos! On Ahobo! On Blankenburger!

Let us not allow these forces to keep us from the precious.

Here’s my take - I know there’s a debate in another thread about the importance of never taking a game for granted in the playoffs, single mistake can cost a season, etc. I get it.

I also know that Chatfield is obviously not 100% right now. And while he may be able to play, we may end up in a situation where Nikishin is forced in, instead of a “game time decision.” And that this Game 5 is almost certainly the lowest pressure game the Canes have left in this playoff run. It would also serve to let Chatfield rest for a potential Game 6.

So, I’m fully aligned with the notion that giving Nikishin a game isn’t something you just do willy nilly in the playoffs, and understand the risks associated with putting him in. I just kinda think this may be the right time and scenario anyway.

Would’ve liked him in for game 5 vs Jersey for that reason, but I get why Rod has played it this way so far.

Chatty at 70% and one wrong move from reaggravating the injury or making it worse can’t be better than the risk of getting Nikishin a game. What if chatty aggravates it trying to chase down a cap player pushing for a breakaway and they get to go in all alone and score the winning goal for the game? Have you seen our puck luck with Walker smacking Ghost in the throat and having the puck ricochet into a breakaway goal for the caps?

I never want to have Chatty sit if he truly can go without issue and I never want to see one of our guys get injured so that Nikishin gets a game…. Would rather it be on merit and because he is just flat out ready to go and can’t be denied anymore…But let’s be strategic and smart about this Brindy…
