I've mentioned this here before, but I keep a spreadsheet that tracks the Pens' results compared to the "Deserve to Win O-Meter"

This season, the Pens' expected record is 10-5 and in reality they are 6-9. They've already lost 4 games they were "expected" to win.

For reference, last season, the Pens expected record was 50-32 while their actual record was 38-44. They lost 22 games they were expected to win (!!) and won 10 they were expected to lose.

This season, they are pacing to lose 22 games they were expected to win and 0 (!!) wins in games they were expected to lose.

It is what it is. Maybe at some point FSG and Dubas will get tired of dwindling home attendance and not even the remotest chance at playoff revenue.

The teams that have given the Pens fits the last few years (Carolina, Edmonton, Boston others) will continue to do so because we don’t adjust our game plan AT ALL. Sully has had them playing one way since 2016 and it isn’t working. Wake the F up FSG

My take…
- Ned: I love Ned but he really didn’t do us any favors by letting in 3 in a little over 10 shots.

- EK: I don’t know why he thinks defense doesn’t matter. He honestly needs a benching.

= MCR line: Crosby seemed to have the most energy followed by Raks. Malkin seemed out of sorts today.

= Bunting/Lizotte/Poolparty: had a pulse.

- Sully: I would have pulled Ned maybe after 2 and definitely after 3.

- PP: we were 0 for 5/6? Yeah we got some chances but it all seems so unstructured out there. Though I agree that EK needs to be taken off the PP.

- Dubas: he sees what’s going on…and?

Onwards to the Capitals. Wonder if Ovie will get a hat trick against us :/.
