Tuuka was not bizarre, was witnessed, and selfish and all the years that I have watched Bruins players they were always top notch with the fans, this guy was not, not going to say anymore, other than he should take a lesson from Rick Middleton, on relationships with fans. I don't have a resentment for a player getting what he feels he deserves, but I do not believe he carried himself well in the negotiations, sometimes the less said might have been the best way to handle it all and when you fail, take the heat that you asked for. This team in my opinion was not good and it started in the offseason. It’s weird that, as a fan from afar, you put so much stock into your judgment on someone as a person. Like, you see a sliver of that guys (and any other players’) actual life.
Maybe I’ve missed the evidence (and if so I’d like it pointed out to me), but can I get something above rampant speculation that the team, management, and/or coaches has a definitive resentment for Swayman’s actions in holding out this summer?
I find it truly bizarre how everyone seemed so entrenched in how he was a “great guy” (assumingly based mostly off of his friendly relationship with Linus Ullmark among other sound bites) but now so many have “turned” on him because he decided to hold out for the most money. We don’t know the guy. We don’t know how his teammates feel about him.
And while we’re at it, what did Tuukka do? To make you not a fan of him “off the ice”? (Another remarkably bizarre statement).
