It 100% is. What are you talking about

f*** off. It's not even remotely what I said. It's not even remotely how I feel. I don't feel badly for millionaires because they're less rich than they could be. Pointing out they're technically underpaid for this specific business doesn't mean I'm shedding tears for them.

I'd still rather them get fans' money than billionaire owners who I would gladly drive to their appointment with a :censored:.

I can't remember the last time I've seen a Bruins goaltender get beat short side high in one season as much as Swayman has. It's uncanny. It makes me wonder if he needs contacts, which wouldn't be the first time a professional athlete needed to get their eyes checked to help them back to form ( Wade Boggs ).

Korpi was having some vision issues last season . I don't think it's an accident that he's been better this year (though it's hard to tell because the team D is so putrid most nights).

So what are people attributing his subpar season to at this point?

1. Missing most of camp put him behind and he hasn't rebounded from that

2. The defense/team is (much) worse this season and he doesn't get much support.

3. He's simply regressing and/or has been exposed with the expanded role.

4. He was overrated.

I'm not inclined to buy #1 because there has been plenty of time to catch up. I'm not inclined to go with #4 because that is knee jerk and he looked legit good in the past. There's a bit of #3 IMO. But #2 is probably the biggest factor.

I'm not overreacting to the point of assuming there's no chance he rebounds next season. But it's disappointing for sure.

What do y'all think? And do you expect him to just be back in form next year?

He just needs to get to next year and a reset. This season is cooked.

At this point see a sports shrink in the offseason and get right. Don't go full Jack Campbell on us.

still cant believe we gave in and gave him 8 mil.
Guy is a complete fraud. Gives up at least 1 bad goal a game. Been like that all season.

All 4, but 1 and 2 are my biggest takeaways.

The knack of giving up a softie fairly regularly really needs to leave his game though, it's been killing them this year.

This guy should have been offered a 2 year bridge deal to prove to the Bruins that he could play 60 games a season and become a true number one goaltender in the league. If the Bruins held tight and let him wait until November 30th , I believe Swayman would have signed. Now it’s too late and this guy is showing that he can’t be trusted with any heavy lifting and he clearly misses his buddy Ullmark.

This. It can't be easy to play defense with the lack of structure, bad coverage, and propensity for turnovers in front of him. Ullmark needed almost a full season to recover from his Buffalo experience and get used to a more structured system. To me, in equal parts: no training camp; increased workload after skipping training camp; and the poor play of the team in front of him.

While I agree with this, Ullmark was also stopping the puck at a much higher rate despite playing in Buffalo. He was a .912 in his stint with the Sabres.
