Fresh off that awful intermission of hers, I feel like we need to talk about this. For those that do not know her, essentially she does not believe physicality should be part of the sport, and gets into arguments where she gets incredibly worked up to the point of sounding like she is going to cry EVERY time they talk about any remotely physical play.

I am not suggesting especially Sportsnet has good analysts, but she is another level of terrible. At first I thought she had something against Bieksa, but it seems she gets worked up with everyone but Ron MacLean and Kelly Hrudey. She cannot handle being disagreed with, which is kind of a requirement when you are employed to discuss opinions with others.

I don't want this thread to be about that specific take. This is a consistent pattern with her. Please get literally anyone else.

Lots of whining about her bc if this.

I think she’s good here. Good to have her pov

Her POV is fine, I don't necessarily disagree in that there was a better option for Hartman. She just can't be so bothered when people disagree with her. This isn't the only example either.

For the record, Dillon clearly was targeting Kaprizov exactly where he had extra padding, more than once. He knew what he was doing, so I don't see why she thinks that's okay. Also isn't the first time that a Jet has taken him out.

I don’t seee the problem. Absolute disgusting play by Hartman. I say this as someone who hates the jets

Men complaining about women making valid points because they are in positions of power. Welcome to the 21st century. If you think misogyny is a thing of the past take a peak at the PWHL thread

Not everybody has to agree all the time. That there is one true moral dogma and anything else is plainly wrong and dangerous is the single most destructive belief in human history. Rational debate is a healthy part of any functioning society.

Got no problem with what Botterill, Mayers or Consentino have to say in this segment.

Finally watched the video clip. Botterill absolutely owned Mayers and made him look like a dinosaur. Why are we still making excuses for men like Mayers, just because they used to play in the NHL?

I've generally enjoyed his intermission analyses on SN up to this point, but that video clip lowered my opinion of him significantly.

Totally off-topic but, as a film and television professional, the constant dolly-in/dolly-out and ped-up/ped-down nonsense on those close-ups feels pretty amateur hour. Multi-camera sports coverage should be locked off, kids!
Don't get me started. There should be one and only one camera angle when the game is in play. Alternate angles should only be used between whistles.
