I'm a really big fan of Jenner but the only ELC player we have who I wouldn't mind trading is Nylander, but it would be Nylander for Jenner+

I've been a huge Jenner fan since I watched him carry Tyler Biggs in Oshawa and wonder why we picked Biggs 15 spots earlier. :shakehead

I'd trade quite a lot for the guy, it's almost like a "take your pick of anyone not named Auston, William, Mitch, or Morgan"

Zaitsev on ELC. And he is exempt.

Hanzal and Duclair for Jenner and Anderson?
When the OP says "ELC", what he really means is "expansion draft exempt".

That, and Hanzal's a downgrade due to his injury history, and Duclair is off to an even more horrifyingly slow start than Jenner.

Draisaitl (exempt) + Eberle for Jenner + Jones.

With Jones moved you could go 7-3-1 on protection and have Draisaitl exempt.

Jenner is great but the Jackets have a surfeit of burly garbage goal wingers. That and he's in a slump right now. I could see a trade going down, but I doubt it would have that much to do with the expansion draft.

Dude, we aren't trading Jenner in order to protect Karlsson..

You're right. We'll sooner just let Jenner go unprotected.
In all seriousness, Karlsson might prove to be the more important player to the team, we'll see. Trading Jenner is not, however, a workaround to avoid the pain of the expansion draft. We just lose Jenner in a trade and then lose Josh Anderson or whoever else we can't protect, instead of just losing one player. So if there's merit to a Jenner trade it's going to be because the return is damn good, not because it provides much benefit in the expansion draft.

I'd offer Nylander as a sabres fan...huge Jenner fan here

This is the only offer that hasn't been insulting. I'd do this as a Jackets fan.

Then it would take something like Brown + Dermott + Kapanen or something like that.

Only if Jenner can play center.

He's always played well in his stints at center, but his coaches have preferred him on the wing where he can run amok in the corners and crease. I don't know if it's quite settled where he'll be for the rest of his career.

Kasperi Kapanen and a 2nd Round Pick for Boone Jenner.

Kapanen just turned 20 years old and has transformed his game to dominant at the AHL level.

He would be CBJ's 2nd or 3rd best prospect not in the NHL.

We would want someone with NHL proven play that's protected. Kap has tore up the minors but hasn't stepped up in the bigs yet. He would be our 3rd or 4th not up yet guy so a great prospect but we are competing now and futures are a thing of the past for us unless it's for a vet like Hartnell or Dubi.

Wonder if they would take:

Kapanen (ELC. High end prospect)
Bozak (retained) C to replace....unlikely to be picked by vegas.
Cond. Pick if Bozak is chosen by VGH
