Jeff Skinner turns down offer with Toronto

Skinner is very slow and doesn't put much effort into defense at all.

He has a role on a team as a scorer, but that is a very limited role. Has to be a 'perfect fit' to really help out. What the Leafs need, Skinner might not have been worth it.

Obviously, the Canes, and now the Sabres, have moved on from Skinner.

He isn't that good of a goal scorer to make up for his lack of speed and his poor defensive effort.

IMHO, it's a blessing for our Leafs that he chose to sign with the Oilers !!!

Skinner, McDavid, Hyman - Nudge can move down.

If McDavid got Hyman 54, he should easily get Skinner 30+. I bet Skinner is motivated to play.
 
Just showing a free agent Hyman's highlight reel of 40+ tap-in goals from last season is all that is needed... this is not shocking.
