i would assume stone or Ceci and Brown?

Would you give up Sergachev and Macaron for Skinner? Because that's the value of Ceci + Brown... and maybe you'd need to add a little

Or would you give up Galchenyuk? Because that's what you have the closest to Stone value...

If you say no to both, then what are you trying to do in this thread exactly?

lol I doubt Carolina would ever do Skinner for Brown and Ceci.

Really? Canes fans would refuse Ceci + Brown for Skinner? I mean, they don't need young D-man as they have plenty but I doubt Canes fans would say no...

Those are laughably bad.

It would cost more then we want. But man those are bad

As usual... from this poster and Sens related things

Stone + Brown would be great value imo.

Immense value you mean

Stone is already a top RWer after 2 seasons in the NHL and Brown just got drafted #11 OA (could/should have went higher) and is already tearing the OHL appart

We're not trading our best goal scorer for a guy who's "tearing up the OHL" :shakehead

Its one thing to say no to brown and futures. Its another to say no to a superior player and a top prospect.

And yes Stone > Skinner

The Canes need what Skinner brings more than what Stone brings. It was painful watching the Canes last year when Skinner was not on the ice; they dominated possession and made great plays only to fail to score for lack of any snipers.

I'm not saying I wouldn't want Stone...but I don't see him being very useful to a Skinner-less Canes forward group that already is short on goal-scoring.

The whole thread is pointless unless we're somehow parlaying Skinner for a guy that scores as many or more goals than Skinner. :/

Edit: To put it another way--we need a Stone in addition to Skinner, not instead of Skinner.

Well actually there were rumors going around that Dorion called about him after Mac got hurt. So you cant say we dont ask, when there's at least a decent chance we ask
Realistically ,Carolina doesnt have the depth at forward to make a move like this .And we would have to burn at least one of Brown or White and probably more which doesnt work for us .So it just seems like a trade that wont happen. The team we should be talking to is TB they have enough forwards and need the capspace

We were the 7th team in the entire league in scoring last year, and that was without MacArthur all year and with a coach so incompetent that put Mark Borowiecki on our 1st line at one point.

Scoring is not an issue. As much as he's a nice player, we do not need Skinner. We need to keep goals out of our own net, and Jeff Skinner is not the guy to help with that.
