0 goals 1 point in 14 games, they are sending a message to Skinner that his play is unacceptable.
not sure if you are serious with this post . If yes I say thanks for the insight.

A person with a modicum of dignity would agree to a suitable package and termination of the deal.
At this point, both Buffalo and Skinner are better off agreeing on a contract termination ala Mike Richards in LA.
Its a terrible comparison since IKEA furniture is outstanding.Nylander is an absolute bargain at 6.9M. There's many players who make more that are producing less. Slumps happen to everyone, but not everyone gets a front page headline line talking about how awful they are as they're compared to IKEA furniture.

On the bright side that contract only lasts till the end of time.
LOL at the idea Skinner’s low numbers are because of some recent tough love by an obstinate coach.
Skinner scored 28 goals in his first 41 games in Buffalo, playing 18 minutes a night under Phil Housley, mostly with Eichel and Reinhart. For some reason that’s all people seem to remember.
They forget that his sucking already started before Krueger got there - just 12 goals in his second 41 despite still mostly getting 18 minutes with Jack and Sam.
They forget that he scored 7 in his first month with Krueger playing 18 minutes a night mostly with Sobotka and Johansson.
They forget that he still kept getting 18 minutes a night despite only scoring 4 times in his next 26 games, including 11 goalless games in a row before getting hurt.
They forget that his ice time didn’t start to dwindle until he stretched that goalless streak to 22 games, and that he only ended up scoring three more goals the rest of the season, despite getting some time with Sam and Jack again.
They forget he was with Staal and Reinhart to start training camp, and with Eichel and Reinhart for the last couple games before his benching, and that he’s been getting 2nd unit PP time all season.
What people don’t seem to grasp is that Jeff Skinner is has 1 secondary assist all season and just 7 points in his past 46 games. Or that he has just 26 goals in his past 114 games and that includes plenty of prime ice time with prime players.
He’s not stopped producing because of his usage, he’s stopped being used because he hasn’t produced for a long, long time.
I agree with this. So dumb not putting the big guns in a line together. This secondary scoring thing is so overrated. Now they have two non producing lines. Hall and Eichel were great before the corona break and them being split up.his TOI has dropped by 3 mins this year, and 5 mins over the year before. That doesn't even reflect his actual quality of teammates. Who he was in camp with as your stated means nothing. 2nd PP? Oh you mean after the Sabres stack PP1 with anyone worthwhile not named Dahlin or Risto lol?
Dude's contract is bad no way around it...always was. But he has played better than he's being given credit for this year. Coach is just a moron and he's snake bit and cant get over it because of the lack of confidence given to him through matchups icetime and linemates.
Hall-Eichel-Olofsson
Skinner-Cozens-Reinhart (Skinner and Cozens badger out the pucks and reinhart feeds them)
who cares-staal-who cares
who cares x3
defense=decimated by injuries so who cares again.

Boston has the big guns in one line and it's a success. You only spread them out if you have two centers like Drai/mcD or Malkin/Crosby.
This would make sense if Skinner was scoring. He stopped scoring long before his ice time was cut, or he was separated from Eichel, and he didn’t start scoring again those times he has played with him.
As for the previous post “playing better than he’s been given credit for” he has 7 points in his past 46 games. When is enough, enough?
Players drop down the roster and get less ice time when they don’t produce. He stopped producing long before he started dropping.
And yet Ralph Kreuger hasn't been doing that for the Sabres this season. Tage Thompson has significant time on the 1st line with Eichel despite posting no goals and 1 assist. Kyle Okposo continues to get ice time despite posting no goals and 1 assist. Skinner has generated more scoring chances than those two combined, yet he's the healthy scratch. It doesn't make any sense to me.
If Skinner was moving down the lineup, and his replacement(s) were doing a better job producing in the top 6, I'd be all for it. But they're not producing anything at even strength.
He gets most of his time on the 4th line lmao Most of those players who have been significantly more productive have the majority on the PP and play considerably more minutes and have considerably better linemates since the Sabres stack the top PP unit and give them more time. For a guy who is so defensively weak even with a single point they aren't getting outscored much with him on the ice the biggest minuses are on the team are usually well earned from the top line who can't do anything at 5v5(not really Reinhart's fault who has been giving it all). Olofsson has 2 points at even strength which means he is feeding almost entirely off the PP unit. How much is Olofsson getting if he's glued to the 4th line for 90% of his play and stuck on the lame 2nd PP unit?Thompson played parts of three games with Eichel, Skinner played two. Thompson sat out seven times before Skinner sat out once. Okposo has got no time in the top six. Neither have got more ice time than Skinner.
Both are red herrings anyway. The Sabres top six wingers are Hall, Reinhart and Olofsson who have been significantly more productive than Skinner, and mostly Dylan Cozens, who has been somewhat more productive and significantly more reliable.
I can’t believe anyone can be shocked by the benching of a defensively weak player who has 4 goals, 7 points in his last 46 games.
That’s not “skewed”, it’s a 40 goal season. Goals scored at the beginning and end of the season count the same. And so do wins.
Notably, the Sabres were 22-13-6 through their first 41 games of 2018-19. Since then, they’re 46-62-18. I’m no math whiz, but I’d be more interested in replicating those 41 games than anything that came after it.
Which is why it’s absolutely bizarre to bury the guy and ensure that the cold streak continues.
What is the goal here? To win hockey games, or to punish Jeff Skinner for accepting a contract?

Ralph Krueger is a moron
Let's just say Krüger has lost it. Completely.
Sabres won the last game without Skinner
don't mess with a winning line-up
That's not how anything works, but whatever floats his boat I guess.Sabres won the last game without Skinner
don't mess with a winning line-up
and it worked! They also lost the game before that without him, can't mess with a losing lineup either it seems.
it's a joke post relaxThat's not how anything works, but whatever floats his boat I guess.
