Well explained Frank. I do think the staff was a bit extra hard on him, but I absolutely agree the decisions and effort in the important, non-flashy, areas of the game were quite suspect earlier in the year.

Good on the staff and the player to have his game come around, the Oilers will likely benefit from this.

I like the fit with Pod and Drai.

He makes up for Pod's lack of hands around the net and Pod makes up for his lack of board play.
Agreed, he's a nicer fit than Arvidsson, imo, the vision he and Drai have really compliment each other.

Skinner has also worked hard to be better

I see why he was not given the benefit of the doubt.

I didnt notice Draisaitl doing that...good catch.

Just so I am clear...I am not one of those posters who cheers for a player to fail because they dont like the player.
I want this team to win the SC so I sincerely hope Skinner knocks it out of the park for the rest of the season and playoffs.

EDIT: Having said that I am still pissed that the team passed on the player they invested in (Holloway) and signed Skinner at $3M instead but I'll get over it eventually.
I was at the game last evening and sat close to the Oilers bench so I had a unique perspective on the situation.

As frustrating as it’s maybe been to watch his deployment, if it took this long for Knob to coach the sabres out of him and he’s ready now to take the step this could be a significant win for the team.
