ownership? What did Katz do. Holland more like it.
Excellent question!

If you were an owner, for instance, would you tolerate your staff to sign and employ trash borderline/sub 900 netminding with all the money you have wrapped up in just McD and Drai alone? I'd ice the finest team I could assemble around them.

When GMs or upper management are allowed to f-k around with acquiring players like Skinner (and do NOT get me started on Oilers netminding over the past decade...W...T...F...), who else do you lay blame on?

TBH, I highly doubt that the Oilers would had considered this trade, looks more like someone looking for the spotlight with some invented crap. Especially given the timeline: Draisaitl just hit 50 goals in 18-19, and McD is primarily a setup man, yet somehow the Oilers would trade Leon for another setup man....

Kucherov had just won the Art Ross with the most points since like 96.

"f*** around and acquire"? They drafted Skinner back in 2017. Great goalies like Vasy and Shesterkin dont exactly grow on trees. Skinner helped get them to the cup final too. He busted his ass off in the Dallas series especially game 6 when the Oilers offense only put up 10 shots and won that game.

Draisatl hasn't shown he is better than Kucherov at all first of all. Your arguement will be points, but any superstar is producing when passing to McDavid all the damn time.

Kucherov legitimately has been Tampa's MVP. Last year he was in on half of the teams goals. He's a proven winner, gritier, better defensively.

Not many skaters in the league I take over Kucherov the last 5 years. McDavid.... Might be it.
You sound like a Leafs fan, just add the biggest name players you can get and the team will win, correct?

Kucherov's center would have been RNH.

And the other winger would have been Kailer Yamamoto.

Would Kuch be able to carry RNH and Yamamoto to a Hart and Art Ross?

Cuz Draisaitl did.

Draisaitl is a center, less injury prone, better playoff performer, has amazing chemistry with McDavid, and not to mention a couple of years younger. Don’t know why you’re calling out Oiler fans as if it’s an obvious pick.

And what have they won?

Exactly.

How are people bringing up playoff PPG?? Kucherov doesn’t get to play against the two worst playoff teams in the league that make it in. Beating up on LA and Calgary isn’t very impressive

Kucherov is the far better player. He doesn't need to ride McDavids coat tails to inflate his stats.
He also takes leftovers from Toronto and Vancouver and uses them to pad his stats to the tune of 50 points in 32 points while being +20 in that time.
