Should've been able to manhandle a team like the Avs, but its still better than a loss. I'm still not encouraged by this team's play at all. At least Kempe looks like he's settling in nicely, I'd like to see what Brodzinksi can do with the big club as well. I'm so sick of seeing Dwight King out there fumbling the puck and generally ****ing everything up.

With Clifford and Shore about ready to catch him.
Just gawdawful abysmal.

2 million dollars per goal. just wow. can the Kings send Kopi, King and McBadd to
the AVs for Duchene and Landeskog?

Yep. FOr all the pretty losses we've had, I'll take a lot more ugly wins.

Gonna have to scratch and scrape from here on out. How many regulation ES goals is that? 3 in the last 8 games? Horrendous, no matter what else is going on out on the ice.

I don't get it. I mean Budaj has had some stinkers but ffs, he's the 3rd string goalie. The 34 year old who's 2nd in GAA, tied for first in shutouts, 7th in wins...seems like his favorites get no scrutiny. The Dwight King specialty.
 
I hope Nolan can make it back in time for a few games, would much rather see him out there instead of watching Dwight King drag his slow ass around the ice. I'd rather see Brodzinski instead of King as well.

Sutter's just being a smartass with that Budaj statement, remember he is a crotchety old man at this point...

Dwight King has managed to drag his ass around the ice for two more goals than our 14 million dollar captain. Just sayin'.

For a team in a "must" win game this just doesn't make any sense to me, AND was the only forward without a shot on goal. I'm just not smart enough to understand why the coaching staff love this guy. Nolan has out played him and it's really not close.
 
Was at the game last night.

Thought Gravel had a nice game last night. Really picked up his urgency and seemed to be more physical. Dude used his wheels to get to pucks in the corner or turn a play into a 50-50 play when I thought the Avs had the clear advantage.

That's a whole 8 seconds more than Toffoli. I forget what players were caught in their own zone on multiple occasions, but maybe King was on a line that had that happen. He didn't play the whole game with Kopitar and Toffoli. There's 20-30 seconds of extra ice time right there. Maybe Toffoli had more efficient shifts. Maybe King was out there to help protect a lead late in the 3rd for a couple extra seconds. Who knows.

Every coach has a King type player they use. Like, it's always been that way, forever. The next Kings coach will have a player like that too, and everyone will also complain about it then. I'm not sure it's a matter of love, but Gaborik has 2 fewer goals than King. 3 fewer at ES.

Complaining about King is a luxury. If he's getting more ice time, someone that's better than him isn't doing enough, and that's why every coach has that guy.

Don't remind me, that's ****ing pathetic by Kopi. I thought he would've at least turned it around by now...

It's pretty clear he's not going to this year. Going to take some work for him to even get 50 points this year. Toews on the other hand has seemed to turn it around. 5 point game last night. Up to 42 on the season in 51 games.
