His shifts were sad and pathetic to watch. There was little to no effort, he'd come out skate around, possibly try and touch the puck and twirl back to the bench. He was a cancer to this organization

Care to elaborate? I knew he kind of dogged it but didn't know about him the lockerroom and that he went MIA

Friend of mine works for the CBJ and is consistently around the ice and lockerroom. Essentially, Carter's treatment of the staff, from his sticks, to his skates, to the ice, were nothing but nasty and often included verbal abuse of staff. I'll leave it as he was described as a moron, putz and jackass who no one liked to be around.

Perspective:

Carter's time on the Jackets is in its own class.

------------here's the line----------

Anson Carter, Commodon't, Filatov

-----below are merely disappointments---------

•Nash put up numbers but not the attitude.
•Foote was asked to take a pay cut and got traded at the trade deadline. Big deal.
•Fedorov was Maclean's attempt to sell tickets and rescue Zherdev.
•Zherdev
•Svitov

My favorite quote on Carter was when Portzline did an interview with an anonymous CBJ player after Carter was traded. The player was asked when he knew Carter was going to be traded.

The player's response? "The first day he walked in the dressing room."

This is a funny topic because he lived right next to my parents. I knew something was up because he didn't buy the property, he was renting it. At the time I had run into him twice when i would come home for the holidays. I don't have anything bad to say about him as a person he was cordial and nice to my folks all the time. I just wish he could have sucked it up and just dealt with it. Boll lived across from them as well, they were always hanging out. He didn't seem like he was hating life.

I missed that the first time it was reported. Thanks for that!

As others have said, he's one of the greatest villains this franchise knows, right there with Adam Foote. I do look toward Howson because, if I remember right, he was told "It's going to be a tough sell", but he can't control how Jeffie acted. I pulled hard for St. Louis, San Jose, and Chicago in the West this postseason for one reason: to knock Jeff Carter out of the playoffs. I don't mind the rest of the Kings team, but I'm pulling against them as long as he's on it.

Lots of excitement in 2OT on Saturday night.

the stats look ok, because he had 2 hat tricks. The second of which was a few days before the trade deadline as he knew he was auditioning to get out of Columbus.

The second hat trick was in his final game as a Jacket.

Foote had no intentions of re-signing, even if he got the money he wanted.

Matter of fact when he moved out he left a ton of stuff including a few pairs of shoes. I had her take a few pairs, which i still own. haha creepy i know.

Must be nice to just leave a bunch of crap because you can buy lots and lots of new ones...
