I don't think it has been reported, but I'd be interested to know. How many years did they sign him for?
likely, just around the time that the hawks should be seeing the rebuild come into play with the glut of prospects in the system, players on the club already.I don't think it has been reported, but I'd be interested to know.
Purely speculating, I feel like he must've been guaranteed 3 years.
Exactly…I know coaches want to name their own assistants, but Dean did well with our young defencemen and the PK was great last seasonHopefully Kevin Dean gets another gig quickly. I thought he did a great job here.
Debateable I think.Exactly…I know coaches want to name their own assistants, but Dean did well with our young defencemen and the PK was great last season
Yikes, King?So Rockford is stuck with Eaton... or they finding someone new?
Debateable I think.
Vlasic wasn't nearly the same as he was the previous year
Kaiser was up and down, mostly up after his long stint in Rockford
Rinzel came in looking great straight from College
Korchinski looked good in his 1st couple of games then faded back
Levshunov looked good in his first handful of games and then regressed
I would argue they were getting great coaching in AHL/College, and I'm not sure you can credit Dean for that. Maybe I'm off base.
I could maybe see Korch spending like half the year in Rockford, but Lev looked great up here.Korchinski & Levshunov both need to spend the entire year in Rockford. Del Mastro & Allan can split the year between AHL and NHL. Defenceman cant be rushed . Just as Important as Blashill is Rockford hire , hopefully a good hire .
Wasn't Nightingale just named coach of the year in South Carolina? Maybe bring him back as a head coach or associate head coachI'd say Jared Nightingale(Adam's brother) had more impact on the development of Vlasic, EDM, Allan, Kaiser, and Crevier as an Assistant Coach involved with defensemen than Dean or Sorensen.
Next head coach for Rockford? He could help Korch and Lev.

I'm guessing they probably didn't get much of an interview in with Sullivan, it was almost in an instant where he signed with New York. Don't think he gave us much thought.I'm not sure what Friedman is insinuating by "who they spoke to"
Is he referring to the coaches they interviewed? As in guys like Sullivan didn't believe in the ceiling of our prospects?
I see.I assume the quoted is referencing the guys they actually had deep interviews with. Who those guys are besides Carle and Blashill is currently a mystery.
na, I don't hink so. He was gainfully employed and successfully developing some of our youngsters in positive ways as the head coach in Rockford...that job is his if he wants it...that said, he may choose to do otherwise, afterall he does have some experience as a head coach in the NHL now... perhaps he is gonna get a job offer with another NHL club, A. coach or potentially head coach...I think King is long gone
