likely, just around the time that the hawks should be seeing the rebuild come into play with the glut of prospects in the system, players on the club already.

here is hoping he was a good study under Cooper!

Debateable I think.

Vlasic wasn't nearly the same as he was the previous year
Kaiser was up and down, mostly up after his long stint in Rockford
Rinzel came in looking great straight from College
Korchinski looked good in his 1st couple of games then faded back
Levshunov looked good in his first handful of games and then regressed

I would argue they were getting great coaching in AHL/College, and I'm not sure you can credit Dean for that. Maybe I'm off base.

Korchinski & Levshunov both need to spend the entire year in Rockford. Del Mastro & Allan can split the year between AHL and NHL. Defenceman cant be rushed . Just as Important as Blashill is Rockford hire , hopefully a good hire .

I'd say Jared Nightingale(Adam's brother) had more impact on the development of Vlasic, EDM, Allan, Kaiser, and Crevier as an Assistant Coach involved with defensemen than Dean or Sorensen.

Next head coach for Rockford? He could help Korch and Lev.

I'm guessing they probably didn't get much of an interview in with Sullivan, it was almost in an instant where he signed with New York. Don't think he gave us much thought.

I assume the quoted is referencing the guys they actually had deep interviews with. Who those guys were besides Carle and Blashill is currently a mystery.

I see.

Well, at the very least, you gotta respect Blashill for seeing the potential in Bedard, Nazar, Vlasic, Rinzel, etc.

I think you'd be blind not to, but clearly they interviewed many blind candidates.

na, I don't hink so. He was gainfully employed and successfully developing some of our youngsters in positive ways as the head coach in Rockford...that job is his if he wants it...that said, he may choose to do otherwise, afterall he does have some experience as a head coach in the NHL now... perhaps he is gonna get a job offer with another NHL club, A. coach or potentially head coach...

I'm watching the press conference. I'm liking him as he's thoughtful, experienced, adaptable, and doesn't seem like a pushover. I like how he's keeping Sorensen and Waite on. Say what you want about those guys but it says that he's not insecure and that he doesn't need his own guys under him. He also says they're working on one more assistant but can't disclose who it is yet.
