Daniel Jacob is apparently coming back to be part of the coaching staff. Kinda surprised with that one, he seemed to be the Robin to Joel Bouchard's Batman for life. I always felt he had a good mind for the game, he should be a solid add.

those are all valid points, but isnt this taking a step back if his goal is to make the NHL?

Slightly, but coaches have went from NCAA to NHL before, so the other advantages won.
