Pretty much though I'd argue if Nurse put a consistent effort defensively, he'd be ok at it. It's just that both players seemingly want to handle the puck and skate it out/make plays...that's like the first [probably only?] thing on their mind.

Yeah thats what I mean by being wired for it, I am not sure its effort. Its how he thinks and processes the game naturally, he needs a defence coach that can rewire him.

Been a rough weekend for my family. My aunt who was from Alberta originally passed away in Ontario yesterday morning. She was a huge Gretzky fan back in the day. The last time she visited Edmonton to spend time with us, she went to the first game watch party of the Vegas series. Even though we didn't win, Leon got 4 goals and she was lucky enough to catch a t shirt. It was a pretty cool moment. We'll miss her.

Would sure be nice if the Oilers could bounce back to lift our spirits a little and I think they will.

The last time the Oilers were beat 8-1 was back in 15/16 vs the Islanders and they "bounced back" with a 2-1 loss in their next game vs NJ.

Hopefully the bounce back is a little better this time around.
