Technically, conditional loan can be given to any players, but only last max 14 consecutive days. Also, the League has to approve and they can decide the team is just trying to go around waiving the player and refuse it, so you want to be sure Struble haven't played for like a full month before requesting one.

But management failed him. They should have sent Struble down once Xhejak took over the 3rd par LD spot back in November before he played enough game to lose his waiver exemption (if I remember right he had 21 games he could play this year before it did).

I can confirm that he was waiver exempt up until mid november i think. Now, he has to go through waiver

I don’t say the opposite. But when Arber run with the spot, we still could send him down without waiver. Butthey waited too long and now they can’t.

I feel like that didn't happen until December, though, but I could be wrong.

Struble has now played 82 games. He became waiver eligible on his 70th games according to Puckpedia.

I think I’ve seen that where a guy just hasn’t played in a while and gets a conditioning stint. I could be wrong though. They should rest Savard a rest maybe on back to backs. Whether he gets traded or they keep him for a playoff run, they’ll need him healthy and rested. Playing Struble here and there won’t kill them. That 7th D spot really needs to be a vet. Wouldn’t surprise me to see him moved at the deadline

He's a good young defense with a lot of qualities, he'd be of plus value in a trade and we can absorb that loss by having a more traditional veteran 7th D.

Not sure if it will be the deadline but I could see him being part of a package when they try to bring in someone to raise the ceiling of the team. He's a good young defense with a lot of qualities, he'd be of plus value in a trade and we can absorb that loss by having a more traditional veteran 7th D.

Yeah, if we're buyers, he could be the type of young player you give to a alrevuilding team.

I mainly want him traded for his sake, so he can play. But I don't want to trade him until the return is good.
