What am I missing here? He easily has the best stats of all draft eligible QBs. Almost 5000 passing yards and he can run the ball big time, unlike shedeur and ward…
Why is he not the top rated qb prospect? What am I missing here?
I haven’t seen a lot of them play much so looking for legit answers from knowledgeable posters.

Thanks in advance.

The Kiffin system makes life easy. Do we not remember that Matt Corrall hype? Dart's honestly even less impressive than he was. He has good but not elite tools, but he's 3 years away from being a starter if a team commits to his development let alone more from a good one, something that just will never happen given the leash of coaches and the rookie deal structure. Some senior bowl scouts have said to people like Brugler or Kinnan that he looks like he has no experience throwing in an NFL-style offense backing up the tale of the tape.

That’s for feedback guys.
This qb crop just stinks then eh?

Ideally you want a qb that can run/scramble and neither sanders or ward is capable of that am I wrong?

He might slip into the late first/early 2nd because of the weak QB class with a good combine/pro day. He's almost definitely QB3. Ewers and Milroe should have stayed in school. No one else is more than camp arms/dart throws.

If he goes to the right team he and sits a couple years he may be serviceable one day.

Any QB who needs to sit for 1 or 2 seasons, if the guy would go between 33-45, you may be better financially to go back to the end of round 1 to get him to have that 5th year option at a low $20 something million. Otherwise a franchise tag will cost you in around $35 million come 2029/2030. And it's a 1 year deal at that tag number. if you are sitting them for 2 years, you have by the end of year 3 (or 1st year starting) to decide to pick it up. I mean when a Minschew costs you $25 mill over 2 or $15 miill over 1, a 5th year option is good cap number to have (which is basically equal to year 3 of a kid who starts right away).

But, a ranking in the late 2nd, I don't think a team is coming up to grab him.

Ewers, I agree, should have transferred and gotten an extra $3-5 mill of NIL money. Probably doesn't need th reps like Milroe does, but he can make the extra money, as he's not a lock to get a 2nd NFL contract and would also not go in round 1.
