I was wondering why Maroon was on the 2nd power play. Now I get it...
have they? i'd be interested in comparing their playoff production
Pavelski hadn't been a line driver in over a decade.I had a feeling that Pavelski was the line driver on that line and he made Robertson look a lot better than he really is.
Robertson needs to play with someone who can drive his line.
I mean based on the graphic M. Tkachuk is as bad as him as a skater but obviously has other areas of his game that makes up for it. J Rob should be able to still be a productive player if they surround him with faster players like they do with Matty (the whole team is fast) but he might not be good enough to warrant that. He's become the worst skater in the league. In todays NHL you have to keep up. That's why (whether it works or not) there's some GMs that prioritize skating more than anything when drafting/acquiring players.
Players have off years
He's been over a ppg player in his career and one bad season is concerning? It's an off season nothing more.this isn’t just an off year, this is a ‘very concerning huge dip in production’ type year

I didn't realize M Tkachuk was THAT slow.

Or it could have just been that he had offseason foot surgery and missed all of training camp.5 points in the last 5 games for Robo. Small sample, but maybe his omission from the U.S. 4-Nations roster lit a fire under him?
Patty Maroon is just a truckin out there

still can't believe he's not in the HHOF
The fact that Jason Robertson of all people is over a PPG for his career just shows how easy it is to score now. There was a time around 10 years ago where I believe there were only 4 players over a PPG for their careers (Crosby, Malkin, Ovechkin, and Jagr)He's been over a ppg player in his career and one bad season is concerning?
