The Oilers are doing just fine playing for the rape GM Stan Bowman.

Winning forgives all. People, right or wrong, move on.

For some....and it doesn't make it right. A lot of people can rationalize supporting someone who they know is a horrible person, that has done horrible things, if they think it benefits them personally somehow.

Hockey culture isn't a great barometer for morality either. That culture is the reason the whole incident in Chicago almost got swept completely under the rug to begin with. Players don't want to rock the boat or upset management.

Some people also deserve and should be given second chances... but many people have different thresholds for where/when that should happen.

Not being argumentative here buddy...just point out why there will never be consensus on these types of things.

I agree people should be given second chances.

But you can be given a second chance to redeem yourself as a human, without being given the same job, with the same responsibilities, before you've done anything publicly to actually redeem yourself.

Feels like the only thing Bowman and Q would have done so far to redeem themselves, is to let a few years pass for it to blow over, offer remorse privately to Bettman, which may or may not be genuine, and beg him to let them be re-instated. That's being given a second chance without earning it.
