Another good thing about having Bertuzzi is you can contrast him with Nylander.

As for as well balanced goes , adding a few Bertuzzis is A+ in theory.

But getting to watch these 2 every game, it's clear Nylander is in a league of his own. I wouldn't even trade him for 4 Bertuzzis (I like Bertuzzi, just making a point)

willy has taken a huge step the last 2 years and has more or less jumped mm and jt as the the 1a 1b combo with mathews.

the saving grace only one more year of the second biggest hindrance we have had since the marleau contract and that was signing a huge ufa deal prior to locking up your core.

basically if jt re-signs for less then will was making it levels out after next season

8 years shows will wants to be a leaf lifer

but the devils advocate in me still says they listen to offers once he's extended

Matthews Nylander and Marner will all get big money on the new deals. One more year of JT at 11 million then it will be up to him if he takes a discount that works for both team and player or he walks. I don't see him leaving and after collecting his big 7 year deal, he will play ball with the leafs to make it work and stay in his comfort zone at home with family in Toronto
