Let's agree to a 5th because Moscow is closer to Vladivostok than Montreal But sorry, I didn't mean to offend your intellect. Just had to correct a glaring error people might get when looking at a Mercator projection map which is heavily distorted around the poles because the Earth is spherical. That makes places farther up in the north actually closer to each other on a great-circle path than it may seem on a Mercator projection map, for example Winnipeg is a little bit closer to Vladivostok than Los Angeles is to Vladivostok.
