Vladivostok? That's a brutal travel schedule. I can't think of a team I'd less-rather play for.

There's worse, he could be playing for Kunlun Red Star, the new Chinese KHL team. They're playing their home games in Shanghai and Beijing.

They have one former NHL player already, Alexei Ponikarovsky.

Okay, its closer to Vancouver, an NHL team, than to Zagreb and Bratislava, 2 KHL teams.
Or a better one: Zagreb, Bratislava, Helsinki, Riga, Minsk, St.Petersburg and Moscow (so roughly a 3rd of KHL) are closer to Montreal than to Vladivostok.
Happy now?

Let's agree to a 5th because Moscow is closer to Vladivostok than Montreal :) But sorry, I didn't mean to offend your intellect. Just had to correct a glaring error people might get when looking at a Mercator projection map which is heavily distorted around the poles because the Earth is spherical. That makes places farther up in the north actually closer to each other on a great-circle path than it may seem on a Mercator projection map, for example Winnipeg is a little bit closer to Vladivostok than Los Angeles is to Vladivostok.

Remember when he was a big ticket signing?

After his foot injury, he never really played the same.

Wish Nashville signed him, there's no way he could be worse than Carle or Irwin. Always liked Wiz, hope all goes well for him.
