He had reportedly asked for a trade few times, so maybe this was in part doing the guy a solid. Hopefully he takes off in Minny. He has the speed, tenacity, and a little toughness, so the ingredients for a good fiourth liner are there.

Lauko is a Marcus Foligno type of player. Foligno is the perfect type of player to take him under his wing and get him going. Wish him the best.

I’d re-sign Lauko and let Beecher go.

Give me Lauko - Khusnutdinov - Kastelic. I don't want Kastelic playing center anymore. Not strong enough defensively, takes away from what he does best, terrorizing D-men on the forecheck with his speed and body-checking ability. He can still take strong side draws and sub in when the C gets tossed.

Koepke is an AHLer IMO and totally agree on Beecher, I wouldn't even qualify him. Watching last night, I was like "is there really any difference between Beecher and Tufte"? I can't see it. 2 years of Beecher as a 4th line fixture and the 4th line hasn't been a positive contributing factor in either season.
