It takes like 10 seconds to see he's not elite. Look at how he looks through traffic on the PK. He's on his toes. An elite goalie like Price will crouch and is ready to make a save.

A good coach like Cooper won the final by exploiting Price's weakness in 2021. Shots from the point through traffic. And a good one timer from a right-handed shot. Thats where you need a good team and our trap failed.

This would literally be a 100% coachable thing. To write a player off because of a habit or approach is nuts.

Not hard to have as many goals as Mete when Mete hasn't played yet this year. He also scored as many goals as Suzuki and Gallagher combined!

However, Mete scored 4 goals last year, which is more than Dobes did at any recorded level.

Habs likely won't be contending until five years from now, with Suzuki as the oldest youngster now in his prime at a fresh 28 years of age.

How anyone can maintain that this very young team -- without a generationnal talent -- will make any serious noise in the playoffs before that is beyond me?

If we have a good G in five years, that should be perfect timing, IMO.

You say that Price was elite because on the PK he was crouched and ready to make the save, and in the next breath say that Price's weakness was seeing through traffic on the PK?

I know goalies are voodoo, but I didn't think that voodoo extended to comments about goalies.

Yes, he can go down there after his last start. He can play around 3-4 games down there. If he gets the second last start on our schedule, I think that makes 4 starts more likely.

Monty has only had to start once in the last week, so my guess is he plays tonight and on Thursday, then Dobes plays one of the weekend games.
