Was a big fan of Jakob and Rakell, Pens got Rakell only for Sullivan to piss that all away but the injuries wore Jakob down a lot, good bloke.
He's having a good season back home and back on his old team in Brynas.

That line was easily one of the greatest shutdown lines in recent memory. Just insane how good they were defensively as a trio.

Always loved Silf, even though he was a Duck.
Elite shot, solid 2-way guy, great motor, excellent in the playoffs, and one of the best I’ve ever seen in the shootout. Felt like he was consistently underrated.

They were the Moen-Pahlsson-Niedermayer of that era. It was pretty cool to witness two lines of that caliber of stifling, stingy defensive hockey who could score on you, back to back for one team.
Love Silf, happy to see him do so well back home again. He could still be a trusted 4th liner for any team in the league. To be able to do that, while he would be the slowest player in the league speaks to his intelligence on the ice. He always reminded me of Jere Lehtinen, and while he was maybe not as good, he damn sure made his mark on the league even though few took notice.
Those who did knew good he was. He was the definition of hockey IQ.

He's been so damn good. He realised he needed to be faster in order to be productive in the SHL and lost something like 7 kg in the off-season. He's so important, not only as a player but as a leader. In the pre-season, they lost to a Hockeyallsvenskan (2nd division) team after taking a lot of unnecessary penalties and were generally upset with the referees. Apparently, Silfverberg shut the door to the locker room and told them "enough with the whining." After that, they started playing much more disciplined and started winning games more regularly. Brynäs is a success story this year (leading the series after 22 games as a new team is unheard of) and Silfverberg is a huge part of that.

That guy absolutely owned us in the playoffs.
It's like they added another elite all-star. I believe he outperformed McDavid that series too.

Tracking his progress when he was a prospect for the Sens was awesome. He was so electric in Sweden and I'm glad to hear he's back over there lighting it up for his home city. Will never forget him skating straight at goalies in shootouts and killing them with his shot. Ooo, aah, Silfverberg say ooo aah Silfverberg!

I have good news for you. A few weeks ago, against Malmö, Brynäs went from leading by 3-1 to the game being tied 3-3 in the last few minutes. With 14 seconds to go, they got a penalty shot... who else but Silfverberg?
